OK - so here's the thing. I generally don't like to leave a negative review, but this is the first time i have ever paid for, but decided not to stay in a hotel. The check in guy was OK; friendly enough, but if I was to guess the last time this place had a lick of paint, new carpets or any sort of TLC I reckon it was in the 1980s. It may have been 'clean' but it didn't feel that way, due to the ancient curtains, carpets etc.
The car parking area looked like a junk yard, the only way in and out was through a busy bar, the carpet was threadbare, old and dirty, the bedroom had a 4 poster that has seen better days, the bathroom is definitely 30 years out of date, and in the end, we felt so uncomfortable in that dingy room that we decided not to stay, and booked in somewhere else instead.
Say it how you find it......
