”Skip and Jane were wonderful hosts! Everything you would expect from a Victorian home bed and breakfast. Lost of history to see and enjoy. The yard and gardens were well groomed, the rooms were very clean. There happened to be a major heat wave when we were visiting and they brought a portable AC unit to our room on the 3rd floor to make sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was beautiful and delicious as well. They were very kind to ask about allergies, sensitivities or diet preferences...

”We only stayed one night because we were in town for a concert, so we didn’t utilize all the amenities this place has to offer. The food at the ground floor bar/restaurant was good but service was slow - friendly staff though. I would return to stay if I ever visit Tacoma again and would like to check out all the bars!”

”We really enjoyed our stay. Although much of the equipment (air conditioning, the ice machine etc.) are obviously several decades old, everything works and the hotel in general has been renovated recently. Our room was very tidy and fresh. The breakfast is good and there is complimentary tea and coffee available almost at any hour, and there are excellent cookies in the evening. The cleanliness of the small gym is impeccable. The personnel are super nice and helpful and resolved our small issues...

”We spent five days here. The hotel is ok, the rooms are clean, the cleaning staff are very friendly and everything works. The breakfast is completely sufficient though a little repetitive after a few days. There's a train track nearby making some noise at night. The noise insulation towards the corridor is poor. ”Nice hotel. Very clean and easy checkin. Great for our two dogs. Not a lot of yard for bathroom duty, but enough! One negative was The shuttle did not come for over an hour ( we arrived at 12:30 pm on a Saturday. We called 3 times to ask for the airport shuttle and were assured it was on the way. We ended up taking a taxi to get to the hotel . The desk let us know they were short some staff.”
