”We have stayed here before and wanted to come back. We booked a classic King and got the opportunity to bid for an upgrade to the Executive suite and got it. When we arrived, there were no Executive suites ready and they put us in a Signature suite instead at no extra cost. The staff here are so friendly and go above and beyond and made our stay so enjoyable. Perfect place to celebrate our anniversary.”

”Excellent location on the Quayside. Parking adjacent to the entrance £18 for 24 hours. Clean and tidy, breakfast was ok too. Definitely return , nothing not like.”

”Hotel was modern, clean with excellent facilities. Just a couple of pointers. The two rooms our family occupied had not main lights and one had a lamp and the other didn't. Other internal phone didn't work for room service so used hotel's internal WhatsApp to order. Breakfast was excellent and catered for all diets (including vegan and vegetarian).”

”Always one of our favourites. Staff are always amazing, restaurant and bar are beautifully done and the rooms are so individual to other hotels, they have personality and you feel fully relaxed.”

”Very spacious room. Bed could have been a little more comfortable but was adequate. Close to many walkable sites. The room access cards kept failing once or twice a day which was annoying but all the staff were helpful and friendly. Laundry was a pain as it was very expensive and had to be provided to them by 8am if you wanted it back the same day. We took an Uber to a coin laundry and it took an hour and was cheaper including the cost of the Uber there and back”

”The County Hotel is a beautiful old hotel that has been very well maintained. Breakfast is plentiful and the staff were great. Only improvement would be a better selection of toiletry items such as some lotion, shampoo and conditioner etc.”

”We stayed for one week due to a conference trip. - The biggest negative comes from the very stinking room. Even though the air conditioning was effective you can't air the room as windows don't open. All the clothes smell really bad now - The bed very noisy and uncomfortable. Anytime anyone moved in the bed it made a loud noise, woke up for that several times in the night, also had very uncomfortable pillows. - The sheets had stains - Not noise proof room as advertised in the room description!...
