”The problem that dragged this review from a 4.5 down to a 2 is the manner in which corporate management has truncated normal electrical and electronic usage and enjoyment. My devices would not charge properly. The internet could not be powered properly. TV usage was narrowly controlled. Until I learn that these restrictive policies have been altered, I will never again use this chain. This is such a shame. The property is clean and well maintained. ”Interesting and unique place ! The bed was super comfortable, slept great. Rooms very small and no extra frills, it worked for the main purpose, sleep, shower. Perfect place for travelers to meet and mingle. Mostly spent our time in Truckees many restaurants/bars or Northstar skiing. I would recommend if looking for a lil more affordable place ! Personally a lil pricy for a hostel, but its Truckee, tourist town and close to skii resorts, thats just the way it is !”

”Great location, newly renovated hot tubs and outdoor areas. Property is older but very well kept, great place to stay if you want to be on the mountain. Short walk to the village, or shuttle ride every 10 minutes during the day for skiers/boarders.”

”We ended up going on a diff weekend due to storm blocking roads. Nice they allowed us to change despite policy. However few problems with our stay 1. Housekeeping. We asked for extra comforter / duvet as we had 4 guests in that each preferred own blanket. Multiple times had to re-ask as housekeeping kept taking them during cleaning and turndown. On top of this there were some shelves covered in thick layer of dust. Superficial job. 2. Food was OK. Manzanita was decent but lobby and taco place...

”The unit is renovated, with modern appliances, and bathroom, the bedding is confortable ans overall we really enjoyed our stay there! The location is perfect, 5 min walk to the Gondola and near the shops and restaurants while being just away from the noise.”
