”The cottage is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped with relaxing views over the pond and backdrop of birdsong. Although next door to the main house it feels very private, we were made welcome by the owners but then left to enjoy the week. The walking was excellent, so many footpaths and routes to choose from and straight from the door. It is a very pretty area. Within half hour drive we visited Petworth, Parham, Arundel Museum and did a dusk safari at Knepp. We would definitely return.”

We walked the local pathways to villages close by. The location made it easy to take day trips to numerous castles, houses and gardens, and if we were ever at a loss for something...

”If you love a peaceful country retreat then this is for you. Wildlife all around. The owner could not be more helpful. Peacocks at the back door herds of dear and flocks of amazing rheas much better than advertised. You do need a car with good clearance for the track through the forest but it's worth it as it all ads to the amazing adventure. Thank you once again to our host Martin who meets guests at the gate to lead you through the forest.”

”We had an amazing stay. Bob and Liz were lovely and friendly hosts, provided a really nice breakfast and a nice, tasteful welcome package in the fridge. The authentic cottage was a lovely and peaceful place to stay, well renovated and well accomodated. As is the case in most cottages, some of the beams and ceilings are quite low, so watch your head. The walks on the grounds between the bluebells are an absolute must in spring. In the nearby area the places to visit are Plaw Hatch Farm, Bluebell...
