This hotel is located in the heart of the tourist district and so most of the major tourist sites are within walking distance. The underground is very close. So, the location is very convenient. I would not go there over the holidays because the restaurant was not often open and the breakfast (if you do not include it when you book your room) is very expensive and sometimes they won't seat you if breakfast is not included even if you are a guest at the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the front desk. The housekeeping staff are as well except you have to ask for them to service your room. It was supposed to be every three days, so we waited but as of 5 p.m. on the third day, no one showed up so I asked for toilet paper etc. We were there 7 days and no one entered the room even though I did not request that they stay out. The room was very small (not unusual for European hotels) and very quiet. But it was also dark as the only window faced a wall. They have a very nice sitting room on the bottom floor with a fireplace. It is a beautiful room. Going by the star ratings, I expected a more comfortable experience. Again, the staff is very, very friendly, and the location is excellent but I would not stay there again.
