Viikonloppu Dublinissa
Ensimmäinen ilta/yö hotellissa meni ilman omaa avainkorttia. Oli järjestelmässä jotain vikaa kuulemma, ja oman kortin sai vasta aamulla. Joutui respan tyttö kerran jos toisenkin juosta päästämään meidät huoneeseen. Onneksi hän oli se mukava respan henkilö. Osa hotellin henkilökunnasta oli hieman koppavan oloista ja tuntui katsovan pitkin nenänvartta tällaisia normivaatteissa olevia, siis ei pukuja päällä. Itse huone oli siisti, joskin remontti oli tehty hutiloiden, mm. vessan ovi oli maalattu hutiloiden roskien päälle. Huoneeseen olisimme myös kaivanneet kylpyammetta. Siivous toimi hyvin, ja siivoojat olivat reippaan iloisia. Wi-fi yhteys olisi ollut saatavilla, jos respassa olisivat antaneet päivittäin vaihtuvan salasanan. Meiltä ei edes kysytty kiinnostusta tällaiseen. Aamiainen oli hyvän makuinen, mutta keittiön täti jakoi annokset. 2 viipaletta pekonia, 1 kananmuna, 2 nakkia, tomaattiviipale jne.. Maku siis hyvä, mutta ei todellakaan mikään buffet. Myöskin jäi täysin epäselväksi, mikä teki Lucan Spa Hotellista sen Span..Mistään ei käynyt ilmi edes pientä kylpyläosastoa, eikä vaimoltakaan kysytty mitään hoitotoiveita. Sijainti oli odotetun mukainen. Parisataa metriä bussipysäkille, josta n. 15-20min bussimatka Dublinin ytimeen. Kävelymatkan päässä on Lucanin kylä pubeineen, ravintoloineén, ruokakauppakin oli ym. perustarpeet. Hotellia lukuunottamatta matkamme oli kyllä täydellinen. Aurinko paistoi, paikalliset ihmiset olivat mukavia ja auttavaisia ja suosittelivat nähtävän arvoisia kohteita. Irlantia ja Dublinia suosittelen matkakohteena, mutta hotellin valitsisin toisin. Kiitos hotellin siivoojille ja mukavalle nuorelle respan tytölle. Muulle henkilökunnalle tsemmpiä ja hieman lisää asiakaspalveluhenkeä niin hyvä tulee.

Lots of parking, restaurant options and breakfast included with room (if you select that option). The hotel is old and a bit worn but my room and bathroom were clean and spacious. The pub dinner was good. Breakfast that was included with the room was decent as well. The staff is fantastic. Very friendly, attentive and professional.

this was our first stop for 3 nights arriving in Dublin. The room was a twin and nicely appointed. It's an older accomodation, but well kept and comfortable. The Bar downstairs nice and the dining area and food was great! Staff were helpful in telling us where to catch the bus to Dublin. That was easy too.

This hotel was so lovely! We stayed in a family room with 4 people for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. We arrived a little bit late on our first night and had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was delicious and very well priced. The room was very clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. It’s about a 7-8 minute walk to the bus station and a 30 minute bus ride to the city center of Dublin but the drive in is beautiful. We didn’t have a chance to check out the area around the hotel, but from what we saw the area was really cute with nice pubs and shops. This worked out really well for us from the pricing of this property vs. the prices in the city center. Additionally, it is only about a 20 minute taxi from the airport. I would totally recommend staying here.

Firstly my room only had 4 channels. I was told due to weather. Yet in the bar the tv was working perfectly. My room had heat on and I could not open the window to get fresh air THEY WERE LOCKED… which is I believe illegal.

Die Bar abends war sehr gemütlich, gutes Essen und die Preise waren okay. Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es dauerte lange bis warmes Wasser aus der Dusche kam. Das Frühstück (groß) war sehr begrenzt in der Auswahl und Menge. Kein Gemüse, wenig Obst. Der Zimmerservice hat aufgeräumt aber nicht alles geputzt. Viele kleine Schäden in den Räumen.
