”Property clean and convenient to Seaham. Two short flights of stairs to rooms with 3 sets of doors to go through. No lift and no help to get luggage to room. Registration at bar and staff was busy with patrons so check in and out took time. Parking on site. Security good. ”

”Proper traditional English hotel! Centre of Hartlepool. Reception staff very friendly as were cleaning staff I met. Quiet despite location and easy walking distance to transport networks.”

”We were visiting friends so only stayed 1 night. Room was clean and bed comfy. Breakfast was really nice. Full English beautifully cooked and perfect poached eggs! ”

”Nice and friendly staff, free car park. The mattress should have been replaced years ago and was very uncomfortable. No sound insulation between the rooms so you can hear everything going on in the rooms above and each side. The hotel bar was like walking into the bar in star wars, so we eat at a local restaurant nearby ”

”Love the location of this super hotel , bus stop outside and Metro station a short walk away. Great breakfast and very helpful staff.”

”The room was clean enough but the shower room had streaks down the paint and signs of mildew. There was some discarded cigarettes by our bedroom door that a previous occupant must have left but housekeeping never removed them before or during our stay. Food in the restaurant was decent but the service was slow and we had to ask several times over for jugs of water to be brought to our table, too. ”Warm welcome, room was excellent. The bar was well stocked. We did not book an evenimg meal, we did have breakfast which was well presented, cooked to order and the waitress was brilliant. We were attending an evemt which was brilliant”

”Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Lovely building - a little wear and tare but a large property to maintain! But overall, very atmospheric and I would definitely go back there to stay Fantastic food both breakfast and evening meals ”
