Hostellit – Edinburgh and Lothian

”Belford was my first night in Edinburgh and it was super chill. An easy walk from Haymarket station, the 24/7 check-in was really nice. I had a lovely private room (only 4 of those, so book early!) and the staff were super friendly and kind. It was a chill, well-stocked place right besides Dean Village and not far from West End and their nice bars and cafes. ”

”The address in Hotels.com was incorrect. Since this a flat/room, there is no sign on the building indicating this was the correct place. Fortunately the phone number for the owner was correct and we got to where we needed to be. Other than that hiccup, the landlord was sweet, the room clean, location within walking distance of most of the sites. ”

”Quite simply one of the best hostel I've been to, friendly lovely staff, specially hayley, Carola, Ben, Viktor, Rebecca, and all of the other workers too, + the hostel is so clean and right in the city center next to waverley Station and 10-12 min walk to the castle and all other attractions. Definitely will book again on my next trip to Edinburgh. NIK.”

”I honestly love this place, cut through the train station, across the road and 2 min walk, perfect. The staff are always there for whatever you need. The breakfast might not be a hot one, but definitely worth the price, and the cartoons are hilarious - I’m a big kid at heart. I know hostels aren’t for everyone, but if ya’s are in a group, it’s a lot easier… Bar across the road serves breakfast and has awesome prices with the wee deal card. ”Beds were exceptionally comfortable, I wish the pillows were the same,service was fantastic, but I wish microwaves were available to the guests because my food was burnt and wasted twice since I could not personally check on it. Hot tub needs to be warmer, the rooms were a bit too toasty. Overall though amazing stay!!”
