The young lady at the reception desk was full of smiles and let us borrow a uk plug for our chargers! We only brought America plugs! Also, Sara Jean in the restaurant was absolutely wonderful! She made me feel very welcome and gave us some good advice for what to do in York! It was such a great experience! I recommend if you’re looking for a quiet spot out in the country! ”
”We loved this hotel. There are several bus stops by the hotel to take you into the city or to take you to the train station. There is also a restaurant on the property with a really good drink selection and good food. There is also a market within walking distance. The staff was so helpful. The room was very clean with a towel warmer, and the bed was extremely comfortable and big.”

”The hotel was the perfect manor experience. The garden area and backyard was lovely. At the beginning of April, it was a little too cool to spend time sitting outside. The breakfast was not quite at the level I would have expected based on the rest of the experience. Quite a limited selection. The staff was very friendly.”

We spend one night in William Wallace room and it was really cool! Book it if you can. It is worth of every penny. The second night we were at regular room at ground level. It was clean and nice room.

Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of choises.
The castle grounds offers interesting hikes and beautiful scenery.
