Skotlannin visiitti
Koska matkan aikana hotellilla lähinnä oltiin vain nukkumassa ja suihkussa, täytti se siihen tarpeeseen roolin hyvin. Suihkun paine olisi voinut olla parempi, käytössämme olleessa huoneessa ainakin vesi ei tullut juurikaan valuttamista kovemmalla voimalla. Sänky oli mukava ja huoneessa muutenkin sai hyvät unet vaikka paikka paikoin oli selvästi nähtävissä että hotellilla on joko ikää tai pienehkö budjetti. Henkilökunta oli erinomaisen mukavaa sakkia. Isoin miinus tulee että ensimmäisen aamun jälkeen huoneeseen ei tuotu lisää pikakahvia ja se oli myös respastq loppu kun kävi kysymässä :D Teetä ja maitoa sai kyllä onneksi yllin kyllin joten jotain lämmintä oli aamulla mahdollista huoneessa nauttia vedenkeittimellä. Keitin muuten lämmittää veden todella kuumaksi, enemmän ainakin kuin oma keitin kotona. Sijainti on ok, hieman joutuu kävelemään jos haluaa tietyille bussilinjoille mutta nämäkään matkat eivät olleet pidempiä kuin 10-15 minuuttia.

Can't recommend
Room was windowless cellar room which normally is ok for me. This time the "cellar smell" was quite rough though. Bed in the room was actually quite good but Bathroom looked like it hasn't gone through any fixes since 70s. Bathtub had weird brown dirt allover and one towel was in bathroom obviously left by previous visitor. Obvious due to brown skidmarks in it lol. Although prices in Edinburgh this time were very high overall I don't believe charging 150+ GBD for single night in this place is by any means just.

Absolutely disgusting and not what I paid for. My windowless room was dirty, dingy and even mouldy. There was a used plaster stuck to the sheets, the pillows were stained and there were multiple hairs around that certainly didn’t belong to me. There was a banging sound from upstairs all night. I called the staff member to come and hear it and he said “it’s not that bad, maybe you can use earplugs” I shouldn’t have to use earplugs. Honestly, I wish I had stayed in one of those little pod beds in a hostel. It was supposed to be a double bed but it was two singles pushed together. Something I found out when I fell through the middle of them during the night. The bathroom was filthy, other people’s trash was still in the room and the shower head couldn’t stay in position, meaning I had to sit down to shower. The absolute temerity of them to charge what they do is a nonsense. Avoid, avoid, avoid

For the considerably high price paid we’d expect better facilities and service. The room wasn’t particularly clean with hair locks in the bath and dust on the floor and windows. The furniture and facilities are quite dated and the facilities overall are as well. There isn’t any transport link to the city centre which is quite inconvenient.

It was nice, but for the expensive price, the overall hotel was just okay. nothing special. no activities, no bar, breakfast is not included (you need to pay extra)

The hotel was close to some shops, restaurants, and public transportation stops. The room was clean, however the shower's head was loose and the bathroom had a nasty smell.

The park opposite the hotel was very nice. Pretty far away from the next bus stop to downtown, the price was much too high for the limited room, the window was very dirty and almost every time a big tourist bus standing right in front. The room was pretty dark with no suitable light for reading in bed. No really good advice from the receptionist for heading with public traffic downtown.

After paying 120 £ for a night I expect a clean room but room was not cleaned Shower was not working properly and I reported that as well but of course I will not wait until they repair because I was there just for a day.

Arrived to be ignored by the receptionist, room was old and really not for for purpose, it’s 2024 and not a plug socket or a usb anywhere near the bed and the bedside tables were miles away from the actual bed anyway! The complimentary shower gel was empty, and shower was pretty poor. No extra pillows if needed, at breakfast the food was average at best, no real coffee just sachets and an urn of hot water, I would of expected at least a decent coffee in the morning for the price of breakfast not a sachet. The orange juice was empty and not refilled, on checkout 3 colleagues just stood there talking to each other as I was waiting to check out, I wasn’t acknowledged at all, eventually I had to interrupt them to check out, I just think in 2024 I would have expected better, I won’t be back

Quite a tired hotel, furniture was very old and worn. However, it was easy to get to using public transport and has easy access to the city centre. Had issues with noise in our room with air conditioners and lift machine rooms being audible from our room. Good rates compared to other local hotels.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. I expected a better experience for the price I paid. The staff is not well trained or attentive. The server at breakfast is rude and unfriendly. The pictures of the hotel in the website are different of what it really looks like. The room I stayed was clean but very basic. No fridge. Wi-Fi and breakfast are available at extra charges.

my room was not cleaned. there was hair in the bathtub, pee on the bottom of the toilet, i found pills and empty zin packages under my bed, handprints on the wall, dirty shower curtain, etc. staff was nice but overall, i felt disgusted in my room. don’t stay here.
