”We love our stay. It was only one night but very memorable with the friendly staffs and the welcoming gift basket. We feel like staying at a family's home. Would definitely plan for a longer stay in the future.”
”We visited Monteverde in the end of our vacation and it was definitely the right decision. Service was very polite and friendly. Rooms were clean and large, but cold, especially at nights. I think this was the best hotel for our purpose to visit the Monteverde forest area and there were also easy bus connections to Santa Elena. Food in the hotel restaurant was delicious!”

Pros: staff, easy to organize activities via reception, restaurant, hotel surroundings and trail. Also close to reserve (15 min walk).
Cons: the rooms were a bit outdated, as if they haven't touched them in 20 years or so? No aircon either, 1st night was very cold in the room. The pool area - the bar was never open, the water was cold and the games (pooltable, fussball etc.) were quite dirty. Also lots of birds nesting in the pool area roof...
