”We were initially given a room on the first floor, but on returning after going for a meal, we were asked to move, to a room on the ground floor. After five minutes we were asked to move again to the first floor, next to our original room!. The receptionist was very apologetic. We think the bathroom needs updating, it has a shower over the bath, but no hand rails, so getting in and out, can be difficult, as there is nothing to hold on to.”

”I give a 3 star rating in the facility area as the beds and pillows fealt like I was sleeping on building site materials. The bed was solid like what I’d imagine sleeping on a concrete block would be like and the pillows were like sand bags. So uncomfortable I hardly slept but that aside I couldn’t fault the place otherwise”

”Floor was being replaced so part of the kitchen was out of action for evening meals and there was a reduced menu. This wasn’t a problem though as there were still lots of dishes to choose from. Staff are always friendly, helpful and polite. Rooms are big and comfy. Top hotel. Shall return!”

”Hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the town and the car park whilst small was reasonably priced at £5 for the night. The receptionist was pleasant and checked us in quickly and off we went to our room. The room was a good size with a king bed but was warm due to this being an old building, although a fan is provided which helped a little.
