”The staff here is fantastic! I love the history that is acquainted with the the Smithfield Inn. Although it is a very old establishment, my room was clean and had all the modern amenities other hotels have.

”We enjoyed our night’s stay at this property and felt safe. However, the door to room 312 was not tightened properly. We used the upper latch to help secure it even more.
Hot breakfast was decent, typical continental style…eggs, sausage, waffles, bread to toast, packets of hot cereal, cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. No complaints. The attendant was kind and friendly.
Overall, we would return to the property. It’s accessible to nearby restaurants, shops, and the Newport News/Williamsburg...
