Hotel Moxy Frankfurt Airport offers an experience that falls short of the brand's vibrant reputation in other cities. Here's a detailed review reflecting my stay:
Room & Amenities:
The room was adequately clean but lacked several comforts. The mattress was thin and lacked firmness, with only two medium to low firmness pillows provided. Bathroom amenities included good lathering shower gel, though without any additional vanity items. The towels, while absorbent, were not plush. Water pressure in the shower was adequate with a handheld sprayer but the bathroom lighting was quite dim.
Facilities:
Unfortunately, key features like a minibar, in-room coffee station, and safe were absent. On the plus side, there is a fitness center with basic equipment, such as an elliptical, treadmill, bike, and free weights, complemented by water and towels.
Dining & Bar Service:
The dining experience was a letdown, with only a fast food-style setup and limited variety after 10 PM. Our main course was served cold, necessitating reheating, and a sandwich order was mistaken. Furthermore, the staff, while friendly, seemed inadequately trained for restaurant and bar service. For example, a staff member couldn't open a wine bottle, which reflects poorly on their training. It's crucial for an airport hotel to have well-trained staff ready to meet guests' diverse needs at all times, including a bartender capable of making drinks and handling the bar appropriately, which was not our experience.
