”Ours was a one-night stay to access the Avenue of the Giants. The location was good for that. The kitchen was well-equipped. The property was secure, behind a gate. I liked having an extra half-bath and laundry onsite.However, I don't think I would stay again due to one bed that squeaked badly, no air conditioning (it was quite warm upstairs, and opening the windows brought in constant traffic noise on Highway 101 below; I resorted to the provided electric fan, which only helped a bit), and the...

”It’s a cosy little cabin in the middle of eureka. The check-in instructions were clear and precise. I was in town for a reunion so I really only used it for sleeping. I didn’t cook. It was perfect for a solo traveler; might be a bit tight for a couple. The best part for me was the location —- close to Harrison and Harris and Henderson and H Street. Very affordable and much quieter than Broadway.”

”The place was clean and bedding comfortable. The 2 bedroom listing was a bit deceiving, the 2nd bedroom also includes the kitchenette, dining area and no living or lounging space. The space was very tiny and cramped. The 1 bedroom was a nice size and the bathroom was in there. There was only 1 window and it was high on the wall. The outdoor space was very small. For me it felt a bit claustrophobic and not worth the price we paid.”

”Awesome cozy house in Arcata. This was one of our stops from our roadtrip up to Oregon from Los Angeles. After staying in cottages in Carmel and Mendocino it was nice to have the relaxing feeling of a house. Our dog enjoyed the yard a lot for roaming. Hope to return. Highly recommend if you are considering staying here.”

”This is a delightful location. It's very peaceful and quiet. The burgeoning garden outside the door is lovely! It's possible to walk up the street and right onto a hiking path through a redwood forest, and have the path essentially all to yourself. Julia went above and beyond to help me with an issue I had in making my reservation. She's a kind and hospitable host! Highly recommended.”

”Good sized room. Lots of bedding and more for chilly nights. Tiny bathroom. I am small so it worked for me. If I weighed 20 pounds more I would have struggled. The house is very quiet as is the neighborhood which is perfect for a traveler like me.”
