”The hotel is in beautiful surroundings, wery easy make some hiking around the near mountains or take a bus to Glencoe/Ben Nevis area. The rooms were a little out of date, some renovation neede there. But downstairs is in better condition, the restauranta and bar area. The breakfast is really good, a lot of options and well cooked. ”We stayed 4 nights in a private room. Overall, the hostel is spacious, clean, comfortable, and friendly. However, we did find the room really hot without much airflow. My only other complaint is that two nights we experienced issues with drunk adults. One of the adults was working the desk a few days later, which is not appropriate. These disturbances were not handled by the staff, which was unfortunate, as it disturbed the evening for all guests. ”

Immaculate, roomy, with easy access to the roads to take our family of five on many hikes and adventures while having a cozy home base to return to when we were done with our day. ”My Glencoe trip was a bucket-list item and it proved to be wonderful. Kentra cottage is lovely - spotless, all mod cons, comfortable, spacious, very well equipped. Many thanks to Kirsty the owner. Glencoe village is quaint and of course perfectly placed for the spectacular surroundings. There are easy walks in woods and by the loch side to very difficult ones like Buachaille Etive Mor (for an older person like me!) which I did (just) - worth the effort though. All in all, a superb trip.”
