”I really enjoyed my stay. The Bucket Tree is very iconic, with colonial style architecture, lovely park-like surroundings and that giant bucket-shaped tree in front. I arrived in the middle of a heavy rainstorm, so really appreciated the warm and cosy room. I had a separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Beautiful kitchenette and bathroom. Everything was lovely and clean and the service was great. I stayed for two nights and my room was cleaned each day. Would definitely stay here again....

”A delightful experience from check in to check out. The room was quite spacious and had every convenience needed from microwave to mini refrigerator to stove top and all of the kitchenware needed to make meal or heat up a snack. One will not be disappointed at any aspect of this small lodge in a nice neighborhood of Lower Hutt.”

”I have no problem with this hotel, from when I first arrived until I left. The Duty Manager clearly explained what I needed to know. The cleaning staff were friendly & provided an excellent service which I really appreciated. The only downside was the early morning music from the adjoining gym, which I understand was being looked into.”
”A friendly fellow behind the desk, gave useful tips about the city and the traffic. The location was very good for us coming from the north in the evening and getting on the ferry to the South island the following morning (right by the highway, next exit to the ferry).”
