”I spent 8 nights at the Holiday Inn Express Auckland City Centre and would describe it as a solid 4-star hotel — practical, clean, and well located. The central location was perfect for sightseeing and getting around on foot.
My room on the 11th floor had beautiful sunset views. It was basic in terms of decor, but Chromecast access was a great feature. The bed was comfortable, and there was a small gym and guest laundry, both useful for longer stays.

Hotel isn't quite set up for a full house that all have showers around the same time as the hot water ran out.

"Overall a great place and the atmosphere and service was fabulous! You can find quiet spots by the beach even if you’re in the ”family” side. The pool area was pretty crowded when it was sunny, so in order to get a sunbed you have to go there either early in the morning or later in the afternoon.
The only minus comes from the fact that the rooms are not soundproof- you can’t hear the neighbours but you can definitely hear everything happening outside, constantly passing shuttles, people talking etc. Not the biggest problem for us but might be for someone :) "
