Erinomaista palvelua
Loistava sijainti: tarpeeksi lähellä ja riittävän kaukana keskustasta. Ei liikenteen melua, joten sai nukkua rauhassa. Hotellin ravintola Theodosi Restaurant tarjosi parhaan mannermaisen aamiaisen ikinä, illlallinen oli täydellinen ja palvelu mahtavaa. Näkymä ravintolan terassilta merelle oli taianomaiset.

Ei moittimista. Käyty varaamassa paikan päällä viikkoa aikaisemmin.
Hotelli on uusi ja siisti. Turistikausi lopuillaan, joten tilaa on. Asiakkaita vähän, niin henkilökuntaakin (mikä ei ole ongelma!). Ihanan rauhallista. Ranta on lähellä, kävelymatkan (etupäässä rakentamatonta joutomaata) päässä.

Henkilökunta erittäin ystävällistä. Huone pelkistetty. Lattiat kylmät ja iltaisin huoneessa oli kylmä. Pedeissä oli muhkeat tyynyt mutta peittona oli vain lakana ja raihnainen fleecehuopa. Pyyhkeissä tahroja. Sänkyjen väliin jäi ikävä rako. Maisemat parvekkeelta upeat. Lähellä pikkukauppa josta voi hakea esim. vettä ja muuta tarpeellista. Kaupunkiin kohtuullinen kävely, mutta kapeita jalkakäytäviä pitkin ja välillä piti hypätä autotien puolelle. Toinen reitti kulki rantaa pitkin, jos viitsi laskeutua maastoa pitkin alas. Pari viihtyisää rantaa lähellä. Öisin oli meluisaa, koska äänieristystä ei juuri ollut ja muut asukkaat melusivat. Aamupala vaihteli hieman päivittäin. Kivoja olivat paikalliset herkut, mutta kahvi oli juomakelvotonta. Hotellin ravintolassa kannattaa käydä. Klo 18-20 saa 2 drinkkiä yhden hinnalla. Aulasta voi lainata kirjoja luettavaksi ja käyttää ikivanhaa pöytäkonetta, koko hotellissa toimi ilmainen netti omalle laitteelle. Respassa ei ollut aina henkilökuntaa, joten jos tarvitsi apua niin sitä saattaa joutua etsimään. Oven lukko jäykkä, kesti hetken ennen kuin oppi avaamaan sen. Siivooja unohti lisätä vessapaperia, muuten siisteys oli hyvä. En suosittele liikuntarajoitteisille, koska paikassa ei ollut hissä tai ramppia ja sijaitsee korkean mäen päällä, jonne kapuaminen voi olla raskasta. Nuorille ja edullista vaihtoehtoa kaipaavalle hyvä vaihtoehto.

Olen iloinen pidit merinäköala hotellihuoneessa! Ikävä kuulla, että sinulla ei ole kuin kahvia! Aion lisätä uuden aromaattista kahvia tänä vuonna, lupaan! Olen iloinen pidit ruokaa hotellin ravintolassa ja että löysit hotelli hyvää vastinetta rahalle käytetty!

Hinta-laatu kohdillaan
Äärimmäisen mukava henkilökunta ja perusasiat kunnossa. Sijainti keskustan tuntumassa ja rantojen lähellä oli toimiva. Hinta oli off-seasonilla naurettavan halpa ja siihen nähden olin vierailuun enemmän kuin tyytyväinen. Luksusta etsiville paikkaa ei voi suositella, mutta budjettimatkaajalle loistava valinta.

Olimme viikon lomalla Alexis hotellilssa. Omistaja Theo oli todella avulias oikeastaan kaikkien kysymysten suhteen mitä meillä oli. Erittäin ystävällistä palvelua erinomaisella englannin kielellä. Meillä oli "partial seaview room", mikä tarkoitti että parveke oli itään, kun meren ranta on pohjoiseen. Meri näkyi mielestämnme enemmän kuin vain osittain. Oli mukava istua aamuauringossa partsilla. Sängyt ja huone oli erittäin siisti, mutta hintatason mukainen varustelultaan. Eli juuri sitä mitä halusimme: siisti huone, puhtaat lakanat, pieni jääkaappi ja suihku/wc, ei mitään turhaa. Sijainti oli hieman heikompi kuin oletin sateliittikuvan perusteella: rantaan on jonkinmoinen matka, hotellilta siis EI pääse suoraan alas rantaan ellei halkua rämpiä piikkipuskissa ja juoksuhiekassa! Pitää kiertää osa hiekka-, osa asfalltitetä. Rannat suoraan hotellin edessä oli hieman roskaisia, eli jos rannat kiinnostaa, tämä ei ehkä ole se paras hotelli. Mutta me menimme päivittäin Hanian vanhaan kaupunkiin kävellen ja bussilla takaisin. Vinkiksi että ostakaa bussiaseman lippuautomaatista 1,10 € hintaisia lippuja varoiksi. Jos ostaa bussista suoraan se maksaa 1,50 € per naama :) Hotellin ravintola on hotellin muuhun tasoon siisti ja ihan asiallisesti sisustettu. Ruoat yrittävät ehkä olla enemmän kuin todellisuudessa ovat. Alkupalat oli hyviä, "pitsa" eli pita oli hyvää. Jotkut pääruoat vaan ei vakuuttanut. Aamupala oli aika rajattu, eikä tarjonta viikon aikana vaihtunut, muuten ihan ok.

Olen iloinen kuullessani, että sait mitä etsit Alexis hotellissa. Onnellinen olet nauttinut ruokaa ravintolassa! Pyrimme jatkuvasti parantamaan buffetaamiaisen, ja ensi vuonna on vielä parempi! Nähdään ensi vuonna!

Upea omistaja ja hyva palvelu
Huone ok, ja mahtava merinakoala parvekkeelta. Jaakaappi, kassakaappi ja ilmainen nettiyhteys. Suihkussa lammin vesi, mutta pienet tilat ja ei kylpyammetta. Paivittainen siivous. Mahtava omistaja ja auttaa ystavallisesti kaikessa ja tulee illalla istumaan poytaan ravintolassa drinkille. Taksi maksaa keskustaa vain €5 ja kavellen kestaa noin 20 min. Aamupala kuuluu hintaan ja on ihan hyva ja riittava. Hinta/laatutaso varmasti kohdallaan, mutta ei kay viiden tahden haluajille.

Quiet, little hotel located just outside Chania. Easy acces to downtown with a bus every 20 minutes. Busstop only 300 m from the hotel. Pool is small but the beach is only couple of hundred meters from the hotel. Rooms are very basic, but with everything you need, incl. a balcony. Kept clean and tidy by the friendly cleaning Ladies. At the reception a norwegian guy, Frode, will help you with everything you want to know: where to go and how to get there. If he doesn’t know it, it’s not worth knowing! Solid breakfast with something to choose for everyone. From the breakfast room there is a wonderful view to the sea. Theodosi restaurant at the hotel serves very tasty meals to affordable price and service is fantastic like everywhere else at the hotel. All in all Alexis hotel can be warmly recommended: it could easily have 3 stars, the staff is worth 5 stars!

Friendly staff, hotel has pool, great onsite restaurant, and rooms have a nice side view of the mountains and sea. Unfortunately the beds were hard as a rock. Waking up in pain every day puts a damper on the experience. The breakfast has loads of options and the dinner restaurant is fantastic. There is only 1 vegan option, so I wouldn’t recommend the half board to vegans, maybe vegetarians, and definitely to omnivores.

Nous tenons à remercier toute l’équipe qui ont contribué à la qualité de notre séjour à l’hôtel et au restaurant. Ayant déjà séjourné à l’Alexis il y a 3 ans, nous avons apprécié les travaux d’améliorations des chambres notamment au niveau de la salle de bain. N’oubliez pas de prendre vos dîners au restaurant de l’hôtel : vous y trouverez une grande variété de plats, la quantité et surtout d’une grande qualité. Enfin, en cette période de Covid-19, nous tenons à préciser la mise en place efficace de mesures de prévention.

The hotel was better than the photos. The room was large enough for us and a 1 year old, the breakfast had a lot of variety, the restaurant was very good and convenient as we arrived late and tired. It is a walkable distance to town & several beaches for us! The staff was outstanding in all aspects! My only regret is not have booked half-board to include dinner!

This is a wonderful friendly family hotel where Theo and his staff work hard to ensure guests have a unique experience. Food in the restaurant is lovely. Rooms are very clean and there are many repeat customers like me, which is testament to how high standards are here.

Very relaxing and friendly staff
The staff were very welcoming and very helpful. The room was cleaned daily. We had a peaceful time and ate at the restaurant on two evenings. Both times the food was amazing. We enjoyed meeting the rest of our family for breakfast which was very relaxed. They even made us a packed breakfast when we had an early morning start. The bathroom could do with some adjustments as there was no shelf to put toiletries etc and the shower curtain was a bit annoying but otherwise for the price of our stay we thought it was fair and would definitely come back. We had a car so easy to get around but our friends walked to beaches and to Venetian harbour and to the old town and a taxi back cost them 6 euros

The staff were friendly and very helpful,The room was clean, had a safety box and a small fridge. It has a nice furnished sunny balcony. We were offered a kettle, a hairdryer and extra towels for the pool (the pool was lovely) the bathroom was tiny and a bit of a squeeze to use the toilet. The food was excellent. While the hotel was spotless the area around and the walk down to the beach had a lot of litter.

What a find!
For someone who researches every single aspect of a place when booking a hotel, this was an amazing find. Every single person we came into contact with were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. I think we had THE best room (205) with amazing views. The room was basic but comfortable, with a fridge and a kettle. The shower was a standard Greece cubicle with shower curtain. The beds were a little too hard for me but my partner liked them (he says I'm like Goldilocks and it's hard to please me with bed softness). The location was fine for us,around a 25 minute walk to the centre and 10 minutes to the beach. The path can be a little slippery down a hill, so perhaps take sturdy walking shoes. The beach/pool towels were a nice touch plus other things such as being able to have boarding passes printed out and the use of an iron/hairdryer for free. The breakfast was lovely, with different selections every day and a pancake maker. We didn't use the pool as it was too cold, but we did sunbathe for a few hours around it and it was a nice area to relax. The only negative to our stay was a group of other guests who were staying in adjacent rooms, they were noisy and inconsiderate, however that wasn't the fault of the hotel. I would stay here again if we I was to come back, without without the children.

Very simple rooms but very clean, the breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff more than amazing. We had a great experience. The quality you get for the price is tough to beat :)

Fab restaurant
Usual thing with some Greek Hotels is the lack of morning hot water. Other than that the reception service was very good, the place was clean and the restaurant exceptional at dinner. Breakfast was a bit disappointing given the standard of dinner but for the price ....

Peaceful
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast which was included was excellent. The restaurant also served delicious food. It was only a 10 minute bus drive into Chania and a taxi back was 6 Euros.

Nice quiet hotel on the edge of town
We wanted a small hotel in a quiet location but within walking distance of Chania. As we are keen walkers, we favoured the route along the coast which took 15 to 20 minutes. First you have to descend by a path over scrub and then make your way over sandy paths to the coast path. You can walk along the shore if you prefer. That local beach was lovely and unspoilt with sand and some shingle. There are two tavernas just after the footbridge. If you want Aptera Beach and beyond, to the west, descend by the path, turn left by the green house and wind through the roads. That beach is busier but quiet at the far end by the rocks where it is good for snorkelling. We preferred the small, older taverna to the right of the car park mainly for drinks. The larger one unfortunately turns on the music in the afternoons, at least in high season. We hired a car for a few days and there are several rental companies in town. The National Road gets you to places quickly but we'd also recommend trips into the mountains.

First-rate 2-star hotel
Everything about this hotel, its friendly and helpful owners, its superb restaurant with modern Cretan cuisine, the simple but impeccably maintained bedrooms, the small but quiet and relaxing swimming pool area, was great. I had a wonderful week there and would happily return tomorrow. Although it is situated up quite a steep hill with limited direct access to the nearest beach, it is very easy to catch a bus for the short ride to both the beaches and the delightful port town of Chania, with its myriad shops, restaurants, bar and Venetian-style harbour.

Owner and Chef in the Alexis Restaurant is genius. Fantastic menu and even better made. Hotel is located in very quiet area out of city centre but it is just couple of minutes to get to the beaches. I can 100% recommend this place for sure.
