”I booked the 2 bedroom suite. Was first shown a small bedroom w/ what looks like a queen bed. Not sure why Barbara thought I booked the "cheapest room". Showed her my receipt to correct that and she walked us over to an area with 2 rooms. No A/C, No solid walls just heavy mesh covering on two sides, bathtub (needed to be cleaned prior to use) & shower was outside and can be seen through the mesh covering. But, the bed had curtains you can pull close all the way around! Lol! Not sure if that...

”The host was excellent. Breakfast was handy. Location was perfect (was able to see an early morning eruption- 5 minutes to the park!) Room was large and comfortable. Lots of resources and books on site. Fridge for lunch/food and kitchen to cook if needed (reasonably stocked). Volcano is colder than Hilo - bring a jacket/sweater. Close to all the little local (delicious) restaurants. Volcano Forest Inn has seen better days. Place really need a deep clean and fresh paint in a few places. Hard to...
