”This rental was absolutely the perfect way to start out our Hawaii vacation. The gardens outside were absolutely beautiful and the view of the ocean couldn't be beat! We wish we had more time there to relax on top of all tourist stuff we did. The room was comfortable and matched the listing exactly.There is a short, steep hill that you need to climb to get to the unit (although you probably could have walked around the other house to avoid the hill) so be aware of you have mobility...

”What a unique place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed this location. It is a very private location in the middle of dense vegitation. We slept so well here listening to the sounds of the forest. The location makes for a great base to explore Volcanoes NP.”

”Wonderful cottage nestled in a rainforest setting, far back from the road. It was clean, comfortable, ample towels and bedding/blankets. Every room had night lights and switches were clearly labeled. Perfect for two couples, matching en-suite bedrooms. And so close to Hawaii Volcanoes NP, made it easy for us to be there early. Sorry we didn't plan a longer stay. ”

”David was a lovely host and provided a generous welcome with tips on the local flora. The house is simple in the best way - utterly relaxing and with all you need. The location is spectacular for snorkeling because you can walk to the best spots and shower in the outdoor shower after. The cottage is charming with thoughtful updates (AC) and is impeccably maintained.”

”We LOVED our 2 night stay here. It was so relaxing and exactly what was described. It was a bit of nature, fruit trees and peace. We had excellent communication with the hosts. The outdoor shower was pretty cool. We really can’t say enough good about it. Will 100% stay here again when returning to Hilo side of the island.”

”What a beautiful location and farm. So peaceful and a fantastic place to decompress. Matter of fact we spent a very enjoyable day on the lanai. The cottage had all the amenities we needed, a real kitchen, the bed was very comfortable, there’s a washer and dryer there, as well as snorkeling and beach gear available for use! We highly recommend this place and would stay again 3 easy check in/out, nice hosts. Farm is about 30 minutes from Hilo.”

”The location is great as long as you have a car for the short trips to town and the ocean. Check in was easy, just keep in touch and it's easy.The fresh mangoes and abundant colorful bird activity were highlights. Even though not in the listing, there were a variety of snorkel gear in good shape for use, along with chairs and beach towels. "This place is an absolute dump. I don't think it would pass for a 2-star hotel in Europe or Asia. Don't book the ocean view room, the windows will rattle to a point where it's impossible to sleep with the slightest of waves. The prices are beyond ludicrous. Spent a few nights here, expecting this to be the dream Hawaiian getaway after trekking around the island - it was the worst hotel we stayed in. We had to change rooms 3 times to get something remotely habitable... this at a $400/night resort."
