”The hotel itself could do with some upgrading, rooms need a mini fridge and bar doesnt offer rhe widest drink selection, but there is a pub across the road to make up for this. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming and this definitely added to what was overall a very pleasant place to stay for one night. ”
”This worked really well for me. Attending a wedding. Bit of trouble getting key out of keybox and had to call. Perhaps add in detail about pressing black button down too! Otherwise lovely building. Super spacious room. Clean and felt luxurious. Bottled water in fridge would be a nice addition. ”

”A lovely two night stay in beautiful St Albans! Location is great.. Sops, restaurants and pubs are close. Room is nice and the bed is comfortable. Staff is really helpful. Breakfast (£10) was great! Full english breakfast with fruits, croissants, woffels etc.

”This is a lovely historic hotel and we enjoyed our stay apart from one thing (but this was promptly rectified) : initially we had a front bedroom facing the road which was busy and noisy all through the night. Fortunately we were able to upgrade to a rear bedroom which was wonderfully spacious and with much better facilities. The staff were very pleasant, polite and efficient, the hotel was fascinating and well-kept, and we would certainly stay there again.”
