”Hotel as described. 10 minutes walk into Grasmere. Free parking, although I doubt enough if hotel at capacity. Bus stop outside. Breakfast was nice & plenty of options. We had dinner one evening and it was good & good value.
Dog friendly, in fact Luna felt bery welcome!
We decline one days room clean in exchange for a couple of free drinks, that was a nice idea and encoraged reuse of towels etc

”Amazing stay at a beautiful property. Just off the Coast to Coast walk, this hotel was a perfect place to recover from a long walk. And the all-day tea/coffee and scones was a lifesaver. The rooms were nice and the food was delicious. Could not recommend more. They even had a place to fill up water bottles/bladders next to a gear drying room, which was a nice touch. ”
”The staff were Brilliant. We were given what could be described as a standard room when we arrived. When we showed reception picture of room which was booked they changed room to room on picture immediately. It was mentioned that it should not have been advertised as a superior room. Hotel was perfect for a warm , quiet welcome after a day walking. Staff were fantastic. ”
”The hotel was perfectly located for walking. The room was very clean there was just some lipstick/ makeup marks on the bathroom wall which I didn't expect as the room was expensive. But overall it was a luxury experience. Breakfast was nice”
”Spent one night in the hotel. The hotel is situated by a lake and the surroundings are pretty. We were pleasantly surprised when we got upgrated for a better room. The room was AMAZING: big, clean, had a luxury feel to it and lovely view to the lake. The cooked breakfast was tasty and staff friendly. Only downside was that there was no dinner served. Would love to stay in this hotel again :)”
”Fantastic hotel, lovely staff, delicious food and central location to all the hotspots with a bus stop across the road with a regular bus service to and from all the hotspots. Room for 1 was clean and beautifully decorated but very small which meant that on warm sunny nights the heat builds up making it uncomfortable to get ready and sleep in, easy fix, needs Air Con or a decent fan as the ones in the room were inadequate, however would this stop me returning, absolutely not as everything else...
”Overall lovely stay! Very peaceful and relaxing. We had a balcony with the best view of the lake! Amazing! The grounds were lovely also.
The man at the desk was very lovely, friendly and helpful.
However, they desperately need poo bag bins! It’s a great hotel for dogs and there were no restrictions, however there were no bins at all to put the poo bags which was very annoying. But apart from that no issues.

”A lovely overnight stay at the Grange Country House. We received a lovely welcome from Michael, he was very informative and helped us to get settled in quickly. He gave us a tour and explanation of where everything was and about breakfast. The room was perfect, very clean and excellent condition. The breakfast was delicious the next morning and everyone that worked there was smiling and helpful. We will be staying again. ”
