”If you are looking for a restful stay in the suburbs of New York, this is an ideal place. The historic cottage has been beautifully updated with modern amenities and tasteful decoration. Just waking up in the morning and looking out at the fields is pure joy. The pool and sauna provide wonderful refreshment when you decide it's time to move from your sofa or outdoor chair. And, of course, Pound Ridge, New Canaan and Ridgefield are all nearby should you feel the need to wander. Our hosts couldn't...

”Lovely place, convenient to New York trains and Westchester locations.”

”We had a great time. Plenty of space for four couples.”

”This is a wonderful oasis tucked into the quiet and peaceful woods in Pound Ridge. So quiet and seemingly remote and yet minutes from excellent restaurants and shopping.”

”Our family from four different states was looking for a place welcoming to adults and children (over 10 years old). This property was perfect for us. The house was clean but also feels lived-in, which helped us be more comfortable using all of the rooms and the spacious kitchen. There were nooks and crannies for privacy. The kids enjoyed the yard, the adults enjoyed walking the grounds. We even had a star gazing night and got to see Comet Lemmon! ”

”The rooms were very uncomfortable and run down and dirty. Had bugs in a drawer of one room and poop smeared across the front of the bathroom sink in the other room. We left immediately and ended up booking our stay right then and there at another hotel. It cost us a financial loss to our weekend.”

”Subject: Request for a Full Refund Due to Hotel Service Failures We were very excited about our stay at this hotel. Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience and were forced to cancel our stay because the hotel was not properly operating. Here is what happened: 1. Serious staff shortage and delayed check-in I had already completed the early check-in online. The website said we only needed to pick up our room key when we arrived. However, when we arrived, there was a very long...

”Staff was not trained to use software at check in which made the process take 20 minutes per guest with incorrect rooms assigned. Rooms had luke warm water, breakfast was not stocked properly and had out of date items as well as poor tasting/old tasting coffees, juices, soured milk and water. rooms were in poor condition. bedding was dirty and stained on arrival, toilet flushed continuously all night. as well as moldy fixtures and aggressively dusty and sticky floors. would not recommend staying...

”The beds are super comfortable and the shades made the room dark at night hence we had amazing sleeps. Although we do bring our own pillows :) We didn’t use any amenities except I hung out in the lobby two mornings in a row. It was a little chilly every time someone went in or out but quite comfortable. This is a dog friendly hotel and there were so many little/medium sized dogs wandering around with their owners (always on leash) it was such a joy.”

”It was a really nice hotel to stay at for the weekend. It was very accommodating. If you didn’t wanna go out in town there was a restaurant and bar in the hotel. There was a spa in the hotel gym. It was great.”
