”We had a great stay. Everything was perfect and comfortable. The owner was very helpful and communicative before we came up. We will definitely use again, next time we come up and stay!”

”In the first room TV and various lights weren’t working, they gave me a second room and heating didn’t work initially. Mattress was very poor and uneven to sleep on, you could feel every spring. Biscuits on floor down back of work desk, a faulty leaking shower head, the list goes on. It became apparent wondering around the hotel that it was an old Hilton that’s been taken over at some point and can only presume it hasn’t been updated since it was built in the 90’s I’m presuming. Breakfast...

”The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was good. Only issue was the door in the corridor slammed everytime someone went through it. Probably just needs the door closer adjusting.”

”The hotel is beautiful, the rooms were quite small, but nicely decorated. The one thing that bothered us was that the first room we got, smelled so badly of mold we had to change rooms. The breakfast was in a beautiful restaurant and it was quite nice, but the chairs were so dirty I couldn't sit on the one in my table because I had a white skirt on. The hotel is beautiful, but in need of tlc.”

”Stayed a few times and always superb!”

”Paul was a great host. The lodge was comfortable and perfect for us attending a wedding nearby. The room has a fridge and a microwave, as well as tea and coffee. The bed was really comfortable and we had a good night's sleep.”

”Beautiful clean room , for an old building the creaky , slopping floors were as expected. Very well stocked breakfast but I wasn’t sure where we were supposed to eat it so we went back to our room so perhaps trays should be provided? My only problem was the wedding / house side , I think it confusing. Even though the staff were very friendly, I felt in the way the next day after check out as the bridal party were setting up for their wedding. Perhaps an area could be set up for non wedding...

”Good location with small parking area. Very welcoming staff, offering helpful advice on local area. The room itself was of very high standard and lacked nothing that I needed for my stay. Highly recommend the superb cooked breakfast for a small extra cost.”

”Location of the hotel conveniently close to the town centre. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were pleasant and helpful.”

”I was disappointed by the quality of the room in that a number of pieces of furniture were excessively worn down (the desk chair, the bedhead as examples). This created a poor impression. Other aspects were of a normal standard. I also thought that certain parts of the outside property were poorly maintained; for example I found two abandoned tool kits close to my car that appear to have been there quite some time. The shrubs were overgrown and retricting the parking area for the cars.”

”Lovely house. Brilliant location same great communication”
