”A really handy stop off on the way to the coast to an event. Easy parking, clean room and bathroom, comfy bed plus lovely staff! As we arrived later in the day we decided to eat in the pub next door.. the food was basic but OK. The breakfast was also served in the pub and at both meals the staff were really welcoming and helpful. I would stay again if I was in the area overnight.”

”Very friendly and welcoming staff. This is a five hundred year old building so don't expect a Premier inn with nice even floors and shiny paintwork, however if you want a pub hotel with real character this place is a gem. Every member of staff was great and couldn't do enough to make the stay perfect. Unfortunately we didn't get to have a meal there but the breakfast is absolutely worth getting up for. We will be back. ”

”The hosts were great but the rooms were like staying in a hostel. The heating for the room was only put on when we arrived so it was freezing everywhere. The towels were so hard. The curtains had been trimmed with scissors very badly and the window handle fell off when I tried to open it. The beds were comfortable though. ”

”Nice clean room, got parked outside and was able to check-in early. Good choice of drinks, a well supported pub which is nice to see. Nice hot shower in the morning too.”

”booked this property specifically because the listing said it had an oven, which was important as I was travelling for a strongman competition and had planned my meals around being able to cook. When we arrived, there was no oven, which completely disrupted my food prep and meant I had to change plans at extra cost. The stay was also badly affected by very loud roadworks starting after midnight, including a concrete saw and jackhammer, which made it extremely difficult to sleep. I appreciate...
