”The whole place was charming and full of character. Check-in was fast and reception took us to our room personally. The room was beautifully decorated. The bathroom was modern and clean. This is not a negative but something to be aware of; since the building is older and refurbished, the stairs are a little narrow and lean so make sure you are comfortable with navigating not so perfect stairs if you choose to stay in the upper levels. ”The best part of our stay was the food in the restaurant. It was exceptional. The worst part was the 38 steps up to our top floor room and the quarter mile walk to the car park. The bed was comfortable, the Nespresso coffee maker was nice and the shower was just OK, having only a rain head and no wand. The bar is great for what’s on the bar menu but lame for US cocktails. For instance, the bartender didn’t know what either a manhattan or Rob Roy was.”

”Arriving in the charming village and then pulling up to Buckland Manor was a dream! Every detail has been seen to with lovely staff, well furnished rooms, gorgeous peaceful grounds. We could pop on many walking paths right from the door and roam the countryside. One wouldn't need to leave this property for days with every need met beautifully. Exquisite!”
