”It’s a busy place! Wifi on and off. Pool was good and although I don’t really care there was no swim up bar as advertised. Bathrooms need updating but ok. All in all nothing spectacular but acceptable. ”

”It rains quite often, so there is always water in the waterfalls, which are quite magnificent. You can handfeed toucans and hummingbirds in the park. In the hotel room's balcony there is a hummingbird feeder so that you can watch them very close. The tour to volcano Poas was a disappointment. The staff advised us to reserve the tour on a previous day, when you have no idea about the weather in the mountain. We didn't see anything there.”

”No pool, restaurant, or outside patio. WiFi did not work. Air conditioning did not work and we got very little sleep. Room was not sufficiently clean. Upsides: staff was friendly and airport shuttle was included.”

”Perfect base for visiting the Poas Volcano and other sights in the area. From the hotel you can see the volcano so no guessing the weather and it's just a short ride to the national park. The hotel and rooms are modern and cozy, nice sofas with small fireplace to enjoy in the lobby area. Good restaurant.”

”Sure there were a lot of hot tubs but there quite a few that wasn’t working. It seemed like they were in the middle of doing maintenance/ repairs. Do not book the Chalet if you are looking for clean and comfort. The couches were stained, the stairs to the loft is narrow and the walk same walkway was terrifying. You need a wristband to enjoy the “attractions” and you have purchase the breakfast at the reception desk. ”

”Outstanding stay! We came for the gardens, and they did not disappoint. They were beautiful and extremely well maintained. The gardeners were great and helped us locate some birds. We were equally impressed with the hotel. It is a lovely building with comfortable rooms. The restaurant is fantastic and the complimentary breakfast is wonderful. The staff were all friendly and helpful. ”

”Two nights ago I checked into this hotel after finishing a long white water rafting tour while on my way to San José. The property itself is pretty. It might be fine for people who want to stay on a resort property and not go out to explore the real Costa Rica. For a one night stop, however, this was easily the worst choice of my entire trip. ”The property is well kept up. The rooms are basic, showing their age but clean. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was better than expected - coffee or juice, small fruit plate, then a larger plate with plantains, peas and rice, scrambled eggs, and what tasted like a hot dog. Everything was fine for the price and proximity to the airport ”

”We arrived late in the middle of the night. We were lost at first for where to go in the excellent parade, but then the attendant had our keys and parking spot ready, very easy and relaxing checking. Wonderful room, nice beds and furniture. Amazing.”
