”The bed was as hard as a rock. Room was considerably smaller than I expected. We left early and won't go back. I do not recommend this place to anyone.”

”Breakfast menu was fresh. However there were no options for folks who are lactose intolerant and for those who only eat scrambled egg whites. Also, the room was clean except for the few spider webs in the corners of the walls. ”

”Comfortable bed, nice sized room with very clean bathroom. Only complaint that's keeping this from being five stars is the middle window of the three large vertical windows of my beach view room was 85% covered in moisture / what looked like mold starting to grow inside. Clearly rain or some type of water got behind one of the panes. Otherwise, I highly recommend this hotel it was an easy, relaxing overnight stay.”

”We love staying at the Avenue! Breakfast is always warm and tasty and they go above and beyond to make guests comfortable. Love hanging out in the beautiful lobby for wine and cheese or just to take a break from the heat. We will be back again soon!”

”I have stayed at the breakers for several years about twice a year. It's convenient to the beach for those early birds who like to watch the sunrise. It's close to the electric charger which I need for my car. It's not far from the main street and restaurants. At the same time, across the street is lake with geese and rabbits. I enjoy watching them. It was pointed out during this trip that there are so many cameras on the property that I felt even more comfortable there. Also, it's never loud....

”The location, right on the boardwalk, is excellent. We had two rooms which turned out to be in the annex across the street. That was an issue because I was having some trouble with my foot and preferred being closer to the breakfast, the lobby, etc. In addition both rooms had complete kitchens but no table or chairs. Not even a desk space for a laptop. This makes no sense and I wish there had been a way to know it before booking. Breakfast was nice and we enjoyed the veranda with the fire pit...

”This hotel is spacious and clean, offering a hot buffet breakfast for free and an indoor, heated salt pool. The parking is ample and you can walk to the pizza shop or sandwich deli. Because it is on the east side of route 1, you can access Lewes, the ferry, or Cape Henlopen state park without getting into traffic on route 1. Midweek prices are very fair, especially off-season. The staff is friendly and welcoming.”

”We were surprised to find crumbs on the floor. in the bedroom! There were some type of flies coming out of the sink until we shoved rag in it! During the night the flies were on the pillow in the bed! Very disappointed that the Clerk that checked us in never gave us the 15% Moose Lodge discount! Cleaning staff was attentive and provided us with extra T Paper when asked and then asked if we needed anything else! My husband was disappointed that the breakfast didn't change up at all...

”Location, it’s proximity to Ocean City as well as Bethany Beach and Dewey Beach! Within walking distance of some of our favorite restaurants.”
