”I give the review a So-So....After reading multiple reviews, which were mostly positive and seeing the cute online photos, I looked forward to staying. Not as Advertised. Once we got there it was another story, especially for the price we paid, I feel it's OVER PRICED. The hotel seemed to have had some renovations which did look nice but the carpets, stairway, hallways though were filthy they apologized and said that was the upcoming winter project but searching more after the stay some of these...

”We had rented two adjoining Bayside rooms. Bedsheets had stains in one room. The other room had numerous stains on the rug. Ceiling shows bad patching and paint was old and yellow. Otherwise not bad for a place to just sleep and pass through. Price was unreasonably high but expected for prime season. All rentals in the beach areas of Delaware sky rocketed this year compare to last year rates at the same time.”

”We missed the fun decor and breakfast, but it was otherwise great and Crystal Restaurant across the street fit the bill for breakfast perfectly.”

”Great distance to the beach. The room needs to be updated, rusty hinges in the bathroom, the table was all scraped up and the carpet was very dirty. Walking on it with white socks turned black very quickly. Whatever they use for cleaning products was so strong when we got there, it was gross. The pool looked nice on the 4th floor but we didn’t use it. Served its purpose for a few days but definitely not worth what we paid.”

”The rooms were clean and cozy! We liked the breakfast, cold water accessible all day, and the Blue Hen was fantastic! My only complaint was the noise from the drunken patrons of the bar next door. We stayed at the Avenue II, and almost every night around 1am, people were yelling and screaming outside the bar. I thought there was a noise ordinance preventing that. We’d stay here again but in the main hotel.”

”This place is a blast from the past, but in a good way! They haven't updated the look of the place (the bathroom still has the old heat lamp with a timer!), but everything was super clean, the room was large, the bed was comfortable and the furniture clean, and the AC was quiet and worked well. But the best nostalgic part was the staff! They were super friendly and helpful about things to do etc., and you could see them working hard around the hotel. They definitely cared about the place and...

”Our family stayed for a few days, and overall, our experience was satisfactory. On the first day of our trip, we noticed a significant amount of sand and dirt in our bathroom. After bringing the issue to the staff’s attention, the dirt was eventually swept out into the hallway. We then had to follow up with the staff again and ask if they could vacuum the hallway, as there was still a noticeable amount of dirt outside our room. Aside from the cleanliness concerns, the overall trip was decent....
