”It is a nice convenient hotel. Clean. Tea and coffee facilities were nice to settle down nicely on arrival and when I woke up in the morning. Mini refrigerator was handy to keep my leftover food in the refrigerator to eat in the morning. Comfortable table and internet. I give 4 star only as there was no toilet in the room and I hesitated to leave my room in the middle of the night.”

”There was hair in the shower tray, the room, no45 was lower ground floor and like a dungeon. No phone reception. I only met 1 member of staff ( at reception) . The carpark entrance was so tight and my a35 is average size, I dread to think how someone would get a four wheel drive through!”

”Didn’t stay in the end. The owner wanted personal ID upfront via a picture When I questioned why he wanted my personal details and asked about GDPR rules he said if I want to cancel just cancel I tried to but it was too late so I lost my money ”

”We regularly stay at this hotel when visiting Huddersfield. It is our favourite hotel in the area . The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our room is always beautifully clean. The served hot breakfast is fantastic and freshly cooked as opposed to a buffet style. The hotel has a warm and friendly feel and we highly recommend it. A big thank you to all members of staff - you are what makes this hotel so special.”

”It was a cosy cabin with everything we wanted, views of woodland on the other side across the path was the canal, plenty of bars & restaurants to choose from in Marsden.”

”Absolutely charming! The owner and staff outdid themselves with welcoming us later in the evening and making sure to seat us in the quite lovely dining room for a hot meal before retiring to our spacious guest room upstairs. The room was today and had lots of thoughtful amenities: tea, coffee, a variety of snacks, lots of toiletries. Breakfast was very good and served with warmth and hospitality. Definitely a wonderful place to stay. ”

”Given the price we paid, I expected more. It says parking, but that is hit and miss, with parking permits issued, but several cars in the car park without them and therefore difficulty finding a space. The room although quite well presented was very small, more of the size I would have expected for a single room, not double. It was hot weather I know, but even with a fan running all the time, the temperature was unbearable and the window had restricted opening. The hot water temperature needs...

”Nice place above a nice bar. Had some food and it was fine and a few drinks. Nice atmosphere and well situated in the town. Room was fine, settee was a bit big for the room but you can see what they are trying to do. Young woman who showed us round was nice and so too the young woman at breakfast.”
