”Amazing old castle! Very friendly and helpful staff. We love you! We spend one night in William Wallace room and it was really cool! Book it if you can. It is worth of every penny. The second night we were at regular room at ground level. It was clean and nice room. Lots of parking space. The Dungeon restaurant was very nice experience, food was very good. Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of choises. The castle grounds offers interesting hikes and beautiful scenery. It was A little far...

”The hotel was the perfect manor experience. The garden area and backyard was lovely. At the beginning of April, it was a little too cool to spend time sitting outside. The breakfast was not quite at the level I would have expected based on the rest of the experience. Quite a limited selection. The staff was very friendly.”

”We really enjoyed the beer garden in the afternoon. The wait staff at the bar, dinner and breakfast were very good. The room was a little small but very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice too. We’d definitely recommend this hotel.”

”Hotelli sijaitsi mukavasti lähellä lentokenttää. Noin 10 min matka l.kentälle. Spa-osasto jäi testaamatta. Hinta-laatusuhde hyvä. Modernit huoneet vanhan tyyppisessä rakennuksessa. Erittäin rauhallinen yöpymisympäristö. Ravintolassa oli tylsältä vaikuttava pub-tyyppinen menu, mutta listalta umpimähkään valittu kala-annos oli valmistettu fressistä, vasta pyydystetystä fisusta.Nam. Ruasta arvosana 9. Ja se on paljon hotellin ravintoaruoasta.”

”Härligt nyöppnat hotell. Tysta rum och trevlig lobby, om än lite kall! Ac gick för full maskin. Ligger utanför de mest befolkade turiststråken vilket vi uppskattade, tog 20 min att gå till royal mile och det fanns mycket att titta på på vägen. Observera att en deposition på 100 pund (kanske olika för olika längd på vistelse), men kan vara bra att veta. Allt var toppen, personalen trevlig, sängarna bekväma och allt nytt och fräscht! ”

”September. Very cold in room on arrival. Bathroom newish, good towels. Room service worked well. Restaurant food good, but took a long time. Staff seemed confused, even more so at breakfast, which was otherwise excellent. Kippers should be served only outdoors - the smell is terrible!”

”Early check in went well and we were shown to our room which had everything we needed and was lovely and clean. The bed was very comfortable and I slept really well. Only criticism I have is the first impression on entering the bedroom block......was how dirty the carpet on the floor and stairs is which made me wonder if I should have booked the property. But entering the bedroom changed that idea and all was well.”

”A great base for exploring the city center by foot. Hopefully the lift will be fixed soon though as four flights of stairs after a long day were quite taxing.”

”Päärakennus kaunis omakotitalo ja sisustus kuin sisustuslehdestä, piha huollettu. Palvelu arvostavan tuttavallista, aamiainen erinomainen. Ei lapsiperheille soveltuva koska rakennusten välillä vilkas tie eikä suojatietä. Aamiainen välillä omassa talossa, välillä päärakennuksessa.”

"Great location and we really liked the (cold) breakfast even if it was simple (for a hotel.) Rather pricey for three stars but I guess that’s just the Edinburgh price level. It’s a sort of smallish hotel and the service was also really friendly and easy-going, which gave the place a relaxed feel."
