”This poor property. It’s almost as if they should just close this place down. It’s so hammered. Everything is so worn and dated. Not this is not a fashionable hotel kind of way, but it looks like everything’s being held together by caulking in the bathroom in the furniture might disintegrate at any moment. In the morning when I got up to get coffee, the lids they put out didn’t match any of the cups. Like it’s all just for show.”

”We really enjoyed our stay at The Iris. We stayed in a superior suite which was bright and light and with all that we needed for four nights. It turned out we were in a great area with lots of delicious dining options and a short walk from King Street which is the Main Street in Charleston. We walked everywhere. We would totally recommend and would come back if we visit Charleston again. ”

”Nice, clean, modern. Hotel bar closes pretty early, I think 8:30. The restaurant needs help. The food was good but service was terribly slow and they got our meals wrong because they aren’t staffed enough. I booked a standard room and got accessible but that’s hotels.com’s fault not the hotel itself. ”

”When checking in we felt not so welcome, We were a bit early and we understand that the room is not free yet, but the lady at the counter did not even offer to store the luggage. The rooms are okay, be aware there is no elevator. There was a small gym and a pool. Breakfast was basic, but ok. We choose this location, as we wanted to visit the Boone Hall plantation.”
