”Host friendly when we arrived. No parking - only had 3 cars on front. Could park our car for free across the road. Believe was a school car park. We entered the building from a side door to the new part of the building. On entrance was tea/coffee making facilities for all of the room (think 6 rooms?)Room new, modern and well decorated including bathroom. Room (20) not huge but adequate for 2 nights. Was at the front of the building so had to shut the window in the early hours because of traffic...

”The hotel was the perfect manor experience. The garden area and backyard was lovely. At the beginning of April, it was a little too cool to spend time sitting outside. The breakfast was not quite at the level I would have expected based on the rest of the experience. Quite a limited selection. The staff was very friendly.”

The young lady at the reception desk was full of smiles and let us borrow a uk plug for our chargers! We only brought America plugs! Also, Sara Jean in the restaurant was absolutely wonderful! She made me feel very welcome and gave us some good advice for what to do in York! It was such a great experience! I recommend if you’re looking for a quiet spot out in the country! ”
”Warm and welcoming. Excellent location, great value for money. Some roofing work going on but there was zero noise or disturbance whatsoever. The beds are super comfortable, and rooms silent, so we slept well. Second time staying here, will be coming back.
Craig is lovely and helpful, and we got to leave our luggage at the hotel for the day after checkout so we could go to Portobello for we had a late flight.
