”Excellent, spacious room which was very clean as was the en suite bathroom. There was a good breakfast menu and the cooking was very good. The location just off the central market place is excellent and it is a good spot for exploring the Borders. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful.”

”Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. ”

”We had a fantastic stay at this quirky and beautiful hotel. Even though we had booked the petite double room it didn't disappoint. As hotel rooms go it wasn't small. Beautifully decorated with beautiful ornate furniture and very comfy bed. Tea , coffee and water replenished every day. The breakfast and food in the restaurant was excellent. Staff were excellent, lovely and friendly. We would definitely go back. ”

”This tiny Inn is definitely worth a visit! The new owners were very friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable and very clean. The history of the building meant that the bar is tiny, but very welcoming - we spent a great evening drinking and chatting with locals. No food available on the first night, but the owners were happy to recommend and book somewhere for us to eat. Their kitchen was open the second night and the quality was excellent. ”Fantastic comfortable hotel - Lovely, tastefully decorated rooms which were warm, cozy and spacious . The staff were fantastic and friendly and extremely informative and helpful . We enjoyed our meals in the bistro including breakfast in 3 mornings and an evening meal - the food was delicious and every attention to detail was given. We were very impressed with all aspects of our stay and will definitely book again when back in Northumbria!”

”Beautiful property in lovely countryside. The room was spacious and clean with good facilities provided. The bar was well stocked and the food lovely, although a little pricey, especially the children’s meal! Breakfast was fab with a great choice and cooked to order so was piping hot on arrival. Went to Kielder winter wonderland so this was an ideal stay as only 10mins drive away. Would definitely recommend.”

”The hotel staff were very friendly and made us feel at home and very welcome. The hotel was lovely, quiet, with proper fires and excellent Chesterfields to relax and chat on. The selection at the small bar was very good, I enjoy a good whisky when relaxing and they had a good selection. Our room was a good size, just right for us, the bed was comfortable and the room was warm. It had all of the usuals expected, tea coffee etc. the dinning room was also lovely, the food was excellent, perfectly...
