”I always stay at the Barcelo in Madrid. So, when I saw that they recently opened in Monterey, I booked a room for 2 nights. However, they took over this hotel in December from another group, and it was not comparable to the Madrid experience. The hotel bar was really bad! However, the breakfast was TOP, and the service from all employees, except 1, was excellent. Apparently, the computer system did not work when I checked in, so I did not have credit. ”Beautiful location, pools and rooms. Staff are top tier, very friendly and helpful. Very relaxing resort. Far enough away from PV to be away but close enough to get into town.
Amenities lack a bit, game room is tucked away and costs extra money. The food is average and not the best. Even at the restaurants. Always could find something to eat while at resort but ended up leaving for a nice meal. ”
