”We loved our time here. Although the weather wasn’t great, we enjoyed wonderful walks on the beach - particularly crossing the bridge to Barmouth. The hills behind the house are beautiful too, and the whole area is just lovely. The hot tub was great and we enjoyed the novelty of having a record player - so much so that we’ve come home and bought one! I left something behind and Eloise kindly offered to post it back to me too. We’d definitely return!”

”What a lovely hotel- very comfortable room - amazing breakfast and lovely village location. We went on a fab walk from the hotel along the canal to welshpool and caught the bus back. Approx 6 mile walk . Really recommend this hidden gem !”

”Lovely quirky old hotel but bathroom layout poor, could do with removing bath and putting a shower only, it would be much safer. Reception lady at 2pm was very abrupt and just said “check in not till 3” we only wanted to let her know we had parked in the patrons only car park. Breakfast staff and checking out lady, lovely.”

”Charming old luxury hotel. Great spa add on. Nice integrated hotel restaurants on premise. Room fixings need some updating to todays look. Rooms are not as large as some other fine hotels. Wonderful old world luxury demeaner with lounging areas on the first floor and spa included with room. Seems to be a center for many activities. Positive experience for guests.”
