”The Groes is a lovely place to eat and stay. Our room was spotlessly clean with an amazing view from our patio. Our room was a little tired but perfectly passable. If you struggle with mobility getting in a bath for your shower then check with the hotel before booking as ours was quite deep. Lovely powerful shower tho!”

”Free Wi-Fi. Helpful & friendly staff. Good breakfast & plenty of options. Very hot week. A fan was provided & we were able to open the window however, the locals drinking outside were quite noisy & stayed after midnight a few nights. Popular for camper and as well. Ate supper there one evening & it was nice. The room was as expected, although could benefit from a freshen up. Reasonable prices & great location to use as a base to enable you to visit many places.”

”The Mount was in a good position to see the town. Breakfast was good The blind in the bathroom was not private enough you could see in when the light was on and being on the ground floor was it was concerning. A hairdryer would have been nice.”

”The location of the hotel was ideal. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious, but could do with sprucing up and updating. The bed was comfortable, and the shower over the bath was nice and powerful. The staff were friendly. The bar and restaurant were cosy and the breakfast room was light and bright. We had the continental breakfast, which was lovely, with a choice of cereals, fabulous choice of fresh fruit and juices, ham & cheese, Danish pastries, toast, and individual pots of tea & coffee. ...

”Really friendly staff, and fantastic food - both the dinner and the breakfast. Sunday lunch had run out by the evening but still a very good choice otherwise. My husband really enjoyed his fish and chips!”

”Great sized room and bathroom. Was little worried about the possible noise from pub downstairs, but it was not an issue. Bed was very comfortable to sleep in. Easy to get in and out, even during early mornings, when the pub was not open. Very helpful staff. Good accommodation near the city.”
