”Great location, however the idea of being awoken earlier than anticipated by faulty air conditioning. This triggered the in room gas leak detection alarm, which the on site staff responded to quickly by turning the air conditioning unit off. Silenced the alarm, but turned a/c off, and we were the up w hours earlier than anticipated for early departure, which was the reason for staying close by. Appreciate these things happen and grateful for alarm, however presume ac had not been serviced.”

”We were so impressed by this hotel. We only paid around £60 and had a lovely clean, modern room with tea and coffee making facilities. The only negative I can think of is that the carpet is a bit threadbare in the corridors but that made no difference to our experience. We were lucky to have a view over the lovely marina. The staff were ultra friendly and helpful. Free parking very close by and bars and restaurants also very close. I would highly recommend this hotel and I am just about to book...

The only things that let it down, was the annexe we stayed in, could of done with a bit of updating and an iron. But other than that i would advise staying in one of the rooms inside the hotel. ”I loved staying at The Beaches because everything was perfect, the owners were on hand to do breakfast every morning which wasn't limited to either a full English or just cereals (as in some B&B's that I've stayed in), they were happy to be of any help that you needed. I would be very happy to stay there next year when I go down again. There was nothing to hate about staying there.”

”We always stay at the Royal Hotel if we are in WSM for the night. In terms of being in a central location it can't be beaten. It's a traditional and spacious hotel. The staff always go above and beyond to assist you. It's a beautiful, old building. We had a twin room and the bathroom was larger than my living room. Wonderful sea views. I miss the view already! Very highly recommended. Haven't tried the food sadly but it looks delicious!”

”This was the very best hotel and staff. The room was lovely. Staff were friendly, and they couldn't do enough for you. They would do anything in their power to make your stay a pleasurable experience. I would strongly recommend the stay, with the Marina literally two minutes away, and the town center a 10 minute walk away. My only problem was the food. It's not the best, and don't have the breakfast you'll be wasting your money, it has very poor quality ingredients. You'd be better off eating...
