This place is so unique, just so special. We LOVED our stay. The rooms have character and history. The patio has a giant fireplace outside and we sat there chatting with other guests enjoying the lake view. Food in the restaurant is excellent. If you can book a room - note they are typically full - it'll be the wonderful experience.

Unique castle hotel with old world charm. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. They provided 2 small bottles of Prosecco that were iced down and waiting for us free of charge. Great location overlooking Lake George

Lake George getaway

My wife and I spent a couple of nights for our anniversary. Stately 1894 mansion successfully converted to a bed and breakfast. Fabulous food and drink, great staff, beautiful views of lake from both lower patio and upper deck. Outside dining as well with fireplace on patio.

Thank you Erlowest staff.

Erlowest staff is incredible. They make it feel like home. Wild boar slider and coconut shrimp outstanding. Wild boar had excellent authentic and cultural flavor. Breakfast outstanding. Staff did walkthrough with us and helped us with any small request we had. Rooms are spacious and quiet getaway. I would recommend a stay at Erlowest to anyone and everyone.

My husband and I love this place for celebrating special occasions since it is so unique to stay at this beautiful castle, the people are so welcoming and the food is excellent. This was our 3rd stay but I have to say the room we stayed in really needed some work. The shower handle fell off in our hands, one of the lovely pictures on the wall had no glass to protect it like it had broken from a fall and not replaced and the free soaps/shampoos/makeup remover cloths are much smaller and the options reduced. For the cost which we dont mind paying we would expect not motel quality.

We were warmly welcomed, and check-in was super speedy. This was particularly nice, because of the several hours drive to get here. There was a small baggage cart, readily available for our use. Upon entering our room, it was opulent and spacious with exquisite views. (The Horicon Suite). We had a couple of small issues the first night. Staff had forgotten to turn on the A/C in our room, and it showed 80F on the thermostat., and one of the remote controls for the TV had dead batteries. The latter problem was discovered hours later, and they sent maintenance staff to assist. During their visit, they volunteered to also get us a fan, to better circulate the air in our room, which was still cooling. Those two gentlemen were stellar and definitely deserve to be commended. The rest of our stay was every bit as serene and pleasant as we expected. The facility is charming and beautiful, and the grounds are well manicured and picturesque.

I gave one star only because of the view from the hotel. No good experience on other things. 1) parking - the “reserved” parking was always occupied by someone else car. The staff had taken no actions to resolve the issue 2) room has several issues. There was a big kitchen fan right outside the room window. It’s very noisy and smell bad if we turn on the window AC unit. 3) the shower was terrible. The water temperature is not consistent. It goes from very hot to very cold in a sudden. 4) the room was too bright in the morning. The room has windows facing east. The blinds do not block any sunlight after sunrise. It doesn’t not worth the $550 per night we spent at all. Very disappointed.

Enjoyed exterior of the erlowest beautiful. The first day fireplace n jacuzzi did not work. The stopper broken n jets did not work. The Manager did address and explained fireplace is on just seasonally but that they would turn on for our stay. Fireplace only worked for one hour the second day. Second day of stay housekeeping below par. Ice bucket left filled with old water. The housekeeper did not refresh shower. An empty soap box was found etc. I did not realize I would be charged an extra 20.00 for additional order of pancakes and only was allowed to select one item from menu. I had to ASK for the breakfast menu for our second day of stay. Toiletries left for just one person literally just one tiny bottle of shampoo, conditioner, lotion first day only. No form of service recovery offered for inconveniences. Recommend guests are alerted: 1. Fireplace only on in winter 2. You have to ask for extra toiletries n breakfast menu on additional stays. 3. Manager offer some other form of service recovery for problems with room not just offer a downgraded room. 4. Manager check rooms to ensure quality housekeeping service. 5. Upon check out take time to speak to guest who had difficulties with stay Thank you .

Hidden gem. Beautiful property and grounds. Great location with breath taking views. Rooms very clean and nicely decorated. Beds super comfortable. Service top notch. The restaurant is probably the best in Lake George area. Delicious food and attentive service. I’ll definitely be back.

Our stay at the Inn at Erlowest was absolutely wonderful!! Amazing accomodations and food and the place is immaculate!! We would love to stay there again!!

Perfect romantic setting

Wonderful romantic setting. Perfect room for watching the sunrise over the mountains. The room is quaint but perfect for a couple with the 2 person Jacuzzi and gas fired fireplace steps from the king size bed.

We can’t say enough about our stay here. The Castle was beautiful! Attention to details by the staff. All going above and beyond to make your experience the best. Intimate locations with throughout the facilities. The fine dinning in an igloo was the best. Hats off to you he chef. If your looking for a romantic weekend away this is your place. We will be back.

The property is gorgeous! Each room is different. Its very romantic and quiet, and the hosts go out of their way to accommodate you. I love that they include breakfast and you get choices. They also serve dinner toom They give you complimentary champagne in your room the first night. The grounds are gorgeous. They have a bar with a fireplace that you can sit and relax after a day out. I would highly recommend coming here if youre looking for a relaxing weekend away!

Leaky Cauldron

The Inn shows its age and up keep status. Wall paper is coming up in many common rooms. Some rugs are some what threadbare especially on the stairs. Room handles do not close and doors must be locked at all times to ensure the door remains closed. Our room, the Howe suite had an infestation of ladybugs when we arrived and grew in volume by the next day. The ceiling in our room got a leak. Plaster/dry wall began to fall to the floor and on my luggage. The leak dripped all nite. The staff put towels on the floor to stop the water from going all over the room. By morning the drywall tape was hanging from the ceiling and the ceiling leak grew to about a 2' area. No one at the inn offered to move us or compensate use for the condition of the room.

It was so beautiful. Loved our room. Front desk and waitress were excellent. Only thing I didn't like was the maid service. Didn't wipe down faucet in bathroom, replace the used face wipes and the bag for the wastebasket was placed on top of it. I had to put it on the wastebasket myself. But we will definitely be coming back.
