”We love to stay here when visiting Black Mountain. The only thing I could say that might need improvement is the caulk in our shower. It needs replacing as it looked moldy.”
”We really enjoyed staying at The Monte Vista during the Sourwood Festival. It was great to walk to town to eat and attend the festival. The hotel is old but very charming. It has a lot of stairs and no TV in some rooms, so be sure to book a room accordingly.”
”It was only an overnight stay, and the room was a bit spartan. However, it was quite clean and everything worked well. One a very minor problem, as noted by others, is that the toilet required a long flush or multiple flushes. My problem is that I forgot to ask for additional towels. I checked in at night and by the time I noticed that I need extra towels, I didn't think anyone would be around who could fulfill that request.”

”Even though the hotel appeared to be a little older on the outside, the inside was nicely updated! We enjoyed every part of our stay and even got to have fun in the pool. Housekeeping did a great job too. Breakfasts were tasty and complete from healthy to the not healthy..all yummy. Desk staff were so friendly and helpful too! Thank you for a delightful stay! ”
”This is a historic apartment building that has been redone. The rooms are very cute, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is tiny, but it worked for our needs. The neighborhood is very walkable.”
