Boat Is The Key
First, the price of this establishment is decent, compared to a lot of places with an easy access to Canary Wharf, but it's good to note that it's all 100% dependent on the (free) boat that takes you across Thames TO Canary Wharf, the other side, on which the hotel is, there's really nothing. We enjoyed the stay, some of the staff was very attentive, some unfortunately not so, but overall I think it was a good visit.

Generally our visit was ok. The room was clean, breakfast good and the staff was really friendly. The deco and the hotel mood was nice, but you could see the age of hotel in the bathroom. It would have also been nice to know already in advance more about the public transport available to this hotel. We learned only after arrival that there is complimentary boat going regularily over Thames to Canary Warf where are the nearest rail connections (DLR, Subway, Victoria line) and that there is a bus stop right at the hotel. None of that information was available at any webpage or hotel info for us to know in advance.

Cold hotel
Bathrooms window was broken in the second evening, poorly build. My child opened it and we couldnt get it back. Normal window. I called reception once then we waited 1 hour and nothing happened. I called again, ok somebody is coming, they said. We waited 1,5 hours and there was pretty cold. Toilet was also stucked. Repairmen told that he cant fix window, so there was little bit cold, in february ! he fixed toiletpipes, thank god. I couldnt do anything but lough because this should be 4 star hotel. Next evening they told that we can go another room after they couldnt fix window. Next evening!

Telakalla
Thames-joen rannalla hauskalla paikalla pääsee seuraamaan vuorovesiä. Keskustaan pääsee julkisilla helposti ja jokiliikenne lautoilla oli elämys. Hotellin huonepalvelu ei toiminut, mutta netti toimi, aamiainen oli hyvä ja kuntosali kohtuullinen. Vastarannalla oli pari hyvää ravintolaa ja kiva miljöö.

Our recent stay at the DoubleTree Hotel was overall positive, with a few areas for improvement. We checked in on 11 May, where we were welcomed by a very helpful receptionist, setting a good tone for our visit. However, the end of our stay did not meet the same standard. On our departure day, 13 May, we had to check out at 5 AM and encountered some challenges with the receptionist on duty. He was initially reluctant to help us adjust our pre-arranged cab timing due to a last-minute change in our flight schedule, stating it was impossible without even checking. It wasn’t until a follow-up request that he reluctantly made the necessary call, and even then, he struggled to find the contact number, which was disappointing. Additionally, we were informed at check-in that the cab fare to Gatwick Airport would be between 90-100 pounds, but we ended up paying 225 pounds. This unexpected increase in cost was not communicated beforehand and significantly affected our overall experience. While the hotel itself provided comfort and the initial service was excellent, the inconsistency in service quality and transparency regarding costs at check-out left us with mixed feelings. We hope for improvements in these areas for future guests.

I like to start a review with the positive.I enjoyed that the premises were renovated warehouses on the river. My room had a great view. It was challenging to get a king room with a walk in shower. The beds were smaller than advertised however they were comfortable. Maybe I am just spoiled with the US counterparts. The front desk team was very helpful for the most part. One young woman, who helped me with my room, really stood out but I did not get her name. The breakfast was the meal I had there daily and that was really nice. Mr. Vasimin Bratu, the restaurant manager. went above and beyond to make me happy with my GF needs and whatever else I needed. The man from Sri Lanka who cooked my eggs daily was especially patient with my various requests! The room was cleaned daily and and the hotel staff quickly responded to things that needed to be fixed like the shower drain. Now to the not so good. What I found especially petty and cheap was that the hotel refused to leave bottled water for their esteemed guests daily in the room even though there was a placard on the table and I quote" Stay Hydrated. Hilton Honors members (which I am) can enjoy complimentary bottles of water".Non members pay 2.50GBP." Even in the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, Nigeria where I stayed for 2 weeks kept me supplied with water. I will take this up with corporate because it marred my visit and just should not happen in a hotel this price and caliber.

This is a classic England property. The rooms don’t compare to US resorts but we loved our stay. We had a few issues and the staff was gracious to help us. The boat was convenient but at the end of our stay the pier was closed for repairs. Bummer!

This hotel is tired, shabby and in need of some TLC. All which can be overlooked if you've paid a relatively cheap price for a stay. C10 bus to central London is directly outside the hotel which is a bonus. But having no hot water in the morning is unacceptable. I had to have a cold shower! I reported this to hotel reception upon checking out and they looked like they couldn't care less, and there was no offer of any kind of compensation for this. Won't be back! 😂

The hotel had lovely decor and great sized family rooms but the bathroom needed a good clean and not shower gel ! The water taxi was a great way to get to canary warf ! good stay and my family enjoyed it! be aware of a hold charge the hotel will charge when you check in

We sent our clothes for laundry and they lost 2 of our pants. every time we went to the reception, they told us that they will let us know,but they did nothing. When we got to the room we had toiletries,but when we ran out they didn’t restock. It is dangerous going into the bathroom because there is a step and many people might not see. What I liked about the hotel was the food and how easy it is to take the Uber boat to get to Westminister.

The location was beautiful. The ferry access. The hotel had an odd layout, but that was also part of the charm. The restaurant was very good, v the staff was amazing!!! I would definitely stay there again.

The place was great, especially being on the docks and view was beautiful. Rooms were quite small and the turn arounds reminded me like a puzzle, but over all it’s a great place. I enjoyed the breakfast was terrific.

Perfect family stay
Had a fab time staying for our sons birthday celebrations in London. As a family of 5 its alwayd hard to find a room to fit us all in. Famtastic room with balcony and very grateful for my request to make it soecial for sons birthday were actioned. Balloons in the room were a lovely touch. Our boys loved the free ferry ride - mafe it feel very special and s real adventure. Only regret is we didnt stay longer. Thank you

Infelizmente não foi a melhor estadia em Londres que já tive, longe disso. Apartamento muito velho com muitos barulhos internos e no corredor. A limpeza,deixou bastante a,desejar e no último dia as tomadas deixaram de funcionar. Para piorar ainda tentaram me cobrar uma diária extra por um suposto visitante em meu quarto, que nunca aconteceu. O café da manhã foi muito bom.

Was a beautiful hotel with a great view of the Thames and a quick ferry ride to lots on the other side. The only drawback was that there wasn’t much for food on that side of the river. Overall, great hotel and the staff were very friendly and attentive! Would definitely stay again :)

Valentine’s Day
On arrival I was given complementary cookies which I liked very much. However I did have a problem with entering with key card at first but when I went back to reception the issue was solved very quickly. Room was very clean and staff are very nice. The room service did take some time to arrive but hotel was very busy at that time so it was understandable. Overall a really nice expirence for Valentine’s Day

Great but where are the EV chargers
Very spacious rooms and very helpful and friendly staff. The Uber boat being at the hotel is great for exploring London from the Thames. The breakfast was amazing too. Shame there’s no electric chargers in the car park.

The guy at the front desk who check us in was very rude. We said hello to him twice with no response and he looked at us like we were dirt. Luckily the lovely lady at check out was very polite and sweet. The views and room was amazing and despite the check in my daughter had a lovely birthday.
