Upon our arrival after a long journey, Milo warmly welcomed us and gave us a comprehensive tour of the rental cottage and its amenities. Every day, as we bid farewell, Milo offered valuable advice on exploring Los Angeles. Upon our return, we felt like we had stepped back into our own home.However, our biggest disappointment was the state of the property. Despite the high cleaning fee we had paid at the time of booking, we had high expectations for cleanliness. The pervasive dust, both floating and settled in corners of furniture, made our daily tasks, such as changing bedding sheets and lowering curtains, a chore. To add to the discomfort, the property was infested with spiders and their webs, hanging in corners or accumulating on light fixtures. One particularly alarming incident involved a large spider crawling on one of the beds.Another area that fell short of our expectations was the kitchenette. Shelving, the wooden cutting board, pots, pans, and dishes were covered in caked-on debris and grease, making food preparation unpleasant. On our first night, we had to purchase cleaning supplies to make the kitchen usable.The restroom, like the rest of the property, was in a state of disarray. It featured exposed copper piping that made showering uncomfortable alongside a numerous amount of spiders.In hindsight, if we had raised the issue during our stay, the accumulated dust would have posed a greater health risk if it had been addressed promptly.
