”We loved the atmosphere of the Alverton and its grounds. There was plenty of space for parking and the reception was only a short walk.
The rooms we had were very well presented and very clean. I have marked down on the eco credentials as all the lights and television were on when we arrived which wasn't necessary.
The terrace was a great place to sit in the late afternoon for a pre-dinner drink. At times the bar staff were talking to each other rather than looking after customers needs but...

Firstly, a credit to the staff, all of whom were fantastically polite and personable, providing simply great service.
The vintage lift was a unique joy with the communal areas continuing the slightly nostalgic theme.
The bar and dining vibe was relaxed, quiet and combined with great food and attentive staff made for a relaxed breakfast, evening drinks and dinner. Incidentally, dining provides for great views over the harbour.

”The moment we arrived, we were overwhelmed with the outstanding beauty of the countryside and with the quality of the hotel which was also very spacious. We felt very pampered by the facilities provided. Maria in charge of the breakfast showed unprecedented professionalism and was very welcoming.
I would have liked to have seen a few seats scattered around outside, other than just by the clubhouse. Nevertheless we will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff.”
