”The room on my reservation was not the room I was given. I did NOT receive a refund of the price difference. The floor was not swept. The walls had many stains. There were only 3 pillows. There was no mattress cover. The mattress was stained all over. The bedsheets were stained and had hairs in them. The bathroom was very terrible. The towels did not look clean - they were wrinkly and had hairs in them. There was no body soap left in the container attached to the wall. The tub was disgusting...

”The location is great. Uber into Chicago is quick and easy from here, and there are convience stores like Walgreens and fast food places within a walkable distance. While the room was a smoking allowed room, some air fresheners could used by the keepers so those rooms are awfully over powered by the smell. Maybe the same incense they use in their lobby, because that smelled amazing each time I stepped into the office! Staff (I only ever spoke with the lady at the counter and saw a housekeeper)...

”The only reason why I would say it was terrible had nothing to do with management whatsoever. The person that they had working there as an Indian guy that was very rude not only to me but even to the team at Expedia you can definitely look into it because there is an open case about it. The assistant manager that's there has been nothing but stellar professional and I met her husband too. And then the day I will stay back at that hotel again hopefully they will never have that guy working there...

”This place was way above our expectations. We were in Chicago for a huge event so all hotels were sold out. We got this one for dirt cheap knowing it had a bad rating. But when we got in there we were so pleasantly surprised. The bedding was clean and the room was well above average. The bathroom towels could use an upgrade but that was all that I could even think to gripe about. At least in the room we had, it was such a steal for the price.”

"Generally speaking, we had a wonderful stay! The window seats were a BIG hit for us all and we spent many hours sitting in them, watching people, cars and boats. The location could not be beat and we were able to walk just about everywhere. The river is literally steps away. If you're booking a suite, paying extra for the river view is absolutely worth it! However, advertising the suite as suitable for 4 adults is a joke. We were travelling with 2 adults + 1 child (12 y/o) and it was just about okay for us. I tested the sofa bed and I would NOT be happy to sleep in it, let alone have 2 adults share it. It was very creaky and not supportive at all, but for one child under teenage years, it worked. Bring earplugs as the riverwalk does attract party people at all hours (constant drumming throughout the night) and the streets have non-stop traffic, including emergency vehicles. If you're a light sleeper, you may want to pick another location. We will be happy to return to L7 the next time we're in Chicago!"
