”The room was pleasant and clean with a commanding view over the racecourse. All the staff I encountered were courteous and helpful. I felt I received special attention when I asked and had a good meal in the restaurant. I would definitely use again.”

”We had a lovely overnight stay at Hex. We had a resort-side room and it was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. It was so nice to wake up and see the bush-dogs, tapirs and maned wolf from our window! Breakfast is great too, with good veggie and meat choices on the buffet. Staff are friendly and attentive. Overall I think it’s good value and we’d happily come back.”

”We had a 2 week stay in December due to family circumstances and really could find no fault. The staff team are really lovely, always friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Very clean throughout and breakfast was plentiful. We felt very safe there and parking outside the door. Excellent base for Doncaster town. ”

”The ladies who get the room ready were extremely helpful and went and got us more coffee, milk and towels. Room was clean and extremely comfortable. We booked breakfast the next morning and the food was cooked fresh and was excellent. Will definitely be returning. ”

”The overall service was very good. There was plenty of safe parking at the back of the hotel. The room was spacious and there was a good choice for breakfast. Were I to need a hotel in the future close to Selby then I would have no hesitation in staying at this one again.”

”I thought the breakfast was fine. Lots of options for a full or light meal. I had fruit & porridge which was delicious. Husband said his fruit, yogurt and toast was fine. Choices of teas, coffees etc. Others appeared to be enjoying theirs as well. Eating and food area spotless as was the hotel overall. We have not stayed there before but will do so next time we travel. It was worth the money.”
