I have stayed in YHA in other places, so I knew about the concept and the fact that they are good places to stay, but the big plus here in Manchester is the location. I love industrial heritage and thinking about this, the location by a canal and almost under old railway viaducts, was like coming to a heaven! ”The location is wonderul! Beautiful views, and very peaceful. If you don't have a car its a long walk up the hill from Windermere. I had everything I needed for a relaxied stay. Obviously this is a hostel so you can't account for other noisy guests, however there is a policy to meep the noise down between 11pm and 7am. Breakfast looked good although I brought my own.
