”The hotel really caters for big events etc. and was almost empty when I stayed. I only met the receptionist who was efficient, friendly and helpful. The hotel is very large and set in its own grounds and gardens. For my stay it was very quiet - I can't comment on when it is full and busy. However, my stay was during the latest heatwave and my bedroom was without air conditioning and uncomfortably hot. ”With additional charges I should have booked my first choice, I saw this hotel on offer and took it. I paid extra for a dog but didn't get the doggy bag mentioned on site. Staff were very dog friendly hotel isn't really. Nowhere to walk the dog really just a carpark and small courtyard. The court yard isn't really a suitable place to go to the toilet and the carpark was very hot in 30°+ also I had to get someone to get me breakfast as dogs aren't allowed in the area, so I couldn't see what was...

”Stayed for one night, which happened to be the hottest night of the year. Not the hotels fault, but the window in the room would not open. Hotel did supply fans but made little difference. Major issue was after a night in a 30 degree room there was no water for a shower, or the toilet. Spoke to manager who was stressed but apologetic who said the mains were off due to an issue which he hoped would be fixed at some point….
