âThe breakfast was wonderful - but the room was not great - it was right next to an alley where people were drinking/smoking into the night; so pretty noisy (no double-glazing). There was no shampoo and the mirror light kept going on and off! The hotel is undergoing renovations which might be the problem. Wouldnât recommend for now, despite much appreciating the breakfast. â

âOverall great checkin was slow and not very helpful but there was a new trainee in the team so i understood. Checked out and was asked to pay 30 pound i owed on room ,told the girl i had paid up before she said i had to pay but she didnt know what it was for.â

âNice stay, rooms were nicely appointed. Good size en-suite.
Had dinner and breakfast in hotel, both meals were very good.
Would recommend getting room on top floor as it can be noisy from room above.
The down is well worth a visitâ

âHad all the essentials, good location and good shower. The bed was unfortunately very hard and uncomfortable and there was a constant whirring sound in the room a bit like a faint extractor fan. It just wouldn't stop and, as a light sleeper, made it difficult to get to sleep. Our room was also next to reception and early in the morning we could hear all the conversations going on at the reception desk and in the breakfast area. âWe were staying here because our bathroom is being renovated and will definitely stay again. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
The room was clean and comfortable with a brilliant shower that I did not have to faff around with adjusting, just turned on and it was the perfect temperature.
The underfloor heating makes the room very warm although one can open the windows.
In kinder weather, there are chairs outside each of the rooms to sit on and enjoy a drink or smoke, and the pub...

âVery pleasant experience. Clean modern room and helpful staff. Cosy restaurant with good drinks. Breakfast is freshly prepared according to your choise, a bit heavy though. Rooms are located in a separate building near a big road so we heard a little bit of noise from the traffic.â
