However, it wasn't the cleanest home we've had in Myrtle Beach in 4 years. There was mold around the shower (silicone) in the master bathroom. We also found two cockroaches, one in the kitchen and one on the ceiling of the living room (we panicked). We informed the main office and was told that this was normal. Someone was supposed to contact us again to follow up, but no one contacted us. Finally, during Storm Debby, we really didn't know what to do and no one contacted us to inform us.

Very quiet and peaceful place. We enjoyed walking to the pier and spending good time there. This neighborhood has stores for everything we needed. Also there were many places for fishing and having fun for kids. We recommend this property for our friends, relatives and for everyone. Customer service was excellent! Office stuff members were very kind and nice and ready for all our questions.Something wasn't good. The carpets in two bedrooms were dirty, had dark spots, wasn't vacuumed. In one bedroom was absent some part of blinds. Also the front door blinds didn't work well.

Cute house, Needs New Carpets

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We selected this property because we needed a smaller rental that was close to the beach. The location was great and a short walk to the public beach access. Two of the three bedrooms had carpeting that needs replaced. The carpet was heavily stained, looked dirty and smelled. The smell from the carpets made the house smell, even after opening windows and using air fresheners. The main living area was good, the kitchen was well stocked. The hot water only lasted 10-15 minutes, then we would have to wait for the hot water tank to refill again before another hot shower. Garden City tried to address the problems during our stay and were very nice to deal with. The issues we encountered during our stay could not have been resolved by the management company as they were related to deferred maintenance by the owner.

Reviewer Comments: We arrived on Sunday afternoon on Monday I noticed there was black mold on the air conditioner registers I called to complain, they were changed. While the registers were off, I looked up into the ductwork, which was full of black mold. I am allergic to black mold by Wednesday evening. I was having breathing problems. We decided to leave Thursday morning. There are sections of the ceiling that are falling down in the extra bathroom. The underneath of the range hood was covered in grease and head rust spots. The outside wall in the dining room had some sort of growth on it. When I realized the mold in the air conditioning duct, I opened the windows and noticed that the cells are all full of dirt and mold. I will be finding someplace else to rent from next year. We had to leave two days early because of a medical condition I’ve complained about this already in writing and sent pictures and today there has been no offer of restitution for those two days.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Summer House (Clinkscales) was located right across the street from the was very very clean and perfect size for me and 3 kids. I never met the owner, but Pam from Harden City realty was fantastic, she provided excellent customer service. YES I WOULD RECOMMEND the house to family and friends. WE went to broadway on the beach and shopped, road Rollercoaster, visited the wax museum, we rode go carts, they even gave us helicopter ride to see all around Myrtle Beach!! We loved it and we will be back next year for sure. Thank You Garden City Realty for helping us have a wonderful family Vacation.

Quiet & Comfortable

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had family come down to visit my husband. He has cancer and they are going to be coming often. The house was nice however the housekeeping was terrible. The shower curtains were molded so I bought new and mold around the shower I sprayed with bleach.

Glad to see the grand kids but also glad to send them home at night.Best neighborhood on the Beach for familys with kids very quiet and felt safe from traffic
